Snow patrol – chasing cars 2006

Snow patrol is a northern Irish/Scottish alternative rock band. They formed in Dundee in 1994. They are a indie rock band. The band then signed on to the major record label Polydor Records in 2002. This 2006 music video for snow patrol (chasing cars) was directed by Arni & Kinski. Arni & Kinski have directed other music videos for people such as Florence and the machines. Snow patrol have had 28 music videos in total with 20 different directors.

Snow patrols audience are mainly male aged between 8 to 50.

This music video is a mixture of normality and connection with the lyrics. Throughout the video we see the lead singer of the band. Doing things we do in everyday life. Going to the café, crossing the road, using the train, going on the underground when it gets to the chorus of the song ( if I lay here if I just lay here would you lie with me and just forget the world etc.) we see a sudden change were he breaks normality and he lays on the ground wherever he may be in the café in the middle of the road on the train. This is done to link to the song and the lyrics.
