While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the

Townsend was a missionary to Guatemala (1917-18, age 21) SELLING Spanish Bibles, when a Cakchiquel Amerindian man challenged him:
"If your God is so great, why doesn't He speak in my language?"
Townsend caught the vision that every man, woman and child should be able to read God's Word their own language
Townsend abandoned selling Bibles lived among the Cakchiquels learned their language created an alphabet analyzed the grammar translated the New Testament in ten years.
Townsend founded:
Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL), worked on 1,724 languages and currently working on 1,053 others

1. Sin Admitted—Conviction.
