After the crazy chaos of Holiday Club Week 1 and Week 2 you’d think that everyone would have crawled into bed to sleep for weeks. Although that may be true for some, others have got straight back out there. Two teams packed bags, loaded trailers and headed out into two communities this last Saturday, 6 July 2013, to prepare for a fun-filled week of Holiday Club is finally here! Trailer Ministry. Some Amercians from Coastal Community Church, Virginia Beach, joined the two teams, led by Jason Watson and Dave Blake. The response to their arrival in the communities were incredible and both teams have had about 175 children come to the programme every day! Jason Watson’s team is ministering at a church in Mabopane and Dave Blake’s team is ministering at a church in Hammanskraal. Dave Blake’s team was asked to lead a church service on Tuesday evening. They’ve asked us to pray that the local team will take the lead in running the programme – that they would take initiative. Jason Watson’s team is running the children’s programme in the morning, a youth programme in the afternoon and a leadership development programme in the early evening. Please join and pray for physical, mental and spiritual strength. God is doing amazing things among us – in our church and in the churches of communities we’re in relationship with. Pray for unity in the teams, continued health, anointing and love, that God may be glorified in all that is done. After the crazy chaos of Holiday Club Week 1 and Week 2 you’d think that everyone

would have crawled into bed to sleep for weeks. Although that

may be true for some, others have got straight back out there. Two teams packed bags,

loaded trailers and headed out into two communities this last

Saturday, 6 July 2013, to prepare for a fun-filled week of

Holiday Club is finally here!

Trailer Ministry. Some Amercians from Coastal Community Church, Virginia

Beach, joined the two teams, led by Jason Watson and Dave

Blake. The response to their arrival in

the communities were incredible and both teams have

had about 175 children come to the programme every day!

Jason Watson’s team is ministering at a church in

Mabopane and Dave Blake’s team is ministering at a church in Hammanskraal. Dave

Blake’s team was asked to lead a church service on Tuesday

evening. They’ve asked us to pray that the local team will take the lead in running the

programme – that they would take initiative. Jason Watson’s

team is running the children’s programme in the morning, a youth programme in the

afternoon and a leadership development programme in

the early evening. Please join and pray for physical, mental

and spiritual strength. God is doing amazing things

among us – in our church and in the churches of communities

we’re in relationship with. Pray for unity in the teams, continued health, anointing

and love, that God may be glorified in all that is done.

The Journey advances the Kingdom

Imagine if every school became a place of worship… or every work place became a place where God

was glorified in the day-to-day doings… There is great evidence of the need for love in our communities

– we’ve seen lives changed by simple acts of kindness during Holiday Club, and that was just a fraction

of the community. Leading up to our 40 Day Journey – Better Together – how powerful would it be if

each of us gave what we had to serve as instruments for the Kingdom of God to advance. It’s as simple

as joining a small group for the next 40 days, or hosting a small group for this time. Let’s commit

ourselves to journeying together in this time, and taking the courage to invite others to journey with

us. After all, we are better together.

Talk to us

New term. New venue. Same church.

Last night, Wednesday, 10 July, we held our first service in the new venue for ECC Hatfield - at the

Hillcrest Swimming Pool in a hall upstairs overlooking the pool . Although the crowd gathered was less than

usual (with it still being holidays), we had wonderful time worshipping, sharing of the word and hanging

out. If you’re a student looking for a church in the Hatfield area, join us next Wednesday. In the mean

time, talk to us on Twitter (@ECC_Hatfield) and Facebook (facebook.com/ECCHatfield).
