MISSION TRIP OPPORTUNITY: This summer, from August 5-9, we will be joining St. Stephen's Cathedral at Jersey Shore, PA for a week of service, rebuilding, worship and fellowship. Our intent is to bring some of our young people along, but this trip is not limited to youth. Parents and other adults are also encouraged to participate. You do not have to sign up for the whole week. We would like to get an idea as to how many people are interested. Please contact Rev. Welin or Melanie Gurgiolo if you are interested or even just a little curious! MINI GOLF OUTING: Come join the fun. Parish Life is sponsoring a Water Miniature Golf Outing on June 18th. It is on City Island at 7:00 PM. It is a great family outing and we would love to have a big group. There is sign-up sheet on the bulletin board and please sign-up by June 16th. The groups should be no more than 4 people and we can combine people when we get there if necessary. Just tell them you are from Mt. Calvary and you will get the discount. There is parking next to the golf course. If it’s raining, we will have to reschedule. Please call me if you aren’t sure or have questions– Cindy Mueller – 717-782-1953. Hope to see you there. SILVER AND GOLD SERVICE: Celebrate your wedding anniversary with a special service at St. Stephen’s Cathedral on June 16th at 2 pm. The service is designed for couples married 25 years or more. The liturgy will include the renewal of vows, Holy Communion and a presentation of commemorative certificate for all couples. Bishop Scanlan will preside and bless the couples at this joy-filled service. A reception with cake and punch will follow. Same sex couples who have been together for 25 years or more and are now married will also be recognized. Free parking is available. FAMILY PROMISE OUTREACH: A special thank you to Kathy Castonguay, Ann Kistler, George Park, Marybeth and Dave Lehtimaki and Cheri Fogarty for hosting meals at St. Mike’s in Harrisburg. Yes, we are working with a new congregation centrally located and housed in a beautiful, historic church. Our next offering is the week of July 12. Interested? CENTRAL PA FOOD BANK DATES: Mark your calendars now and plan to lend a helping hand at the Central PA Food Bank on Thursday, June 27th, and Mondays, August 12th, October 7th and December 2nd. All from 6-8pm. PIZZA CLUB: Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 16th and 30th, 5:30 - 7:30 PM. There will be pizza, games, and a movie! BOOK CLUB: June’s Book Club will be held on Sunday, July 7th. We will be reading and discussing Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP: The Women’s Fellowship Group has started a new discussion series. We will be reading “Run with the Horses” by Eugene Peterson. We will be meeting at our usual time, 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 7 pm in the Mt Calvary parlor. All are welcome. QUIET BAGS - A small bag with a note pad and a pack of crayons are available. Please ask an usher if one is needed.
