Itinerary – Cost was $354/student, + meals

Thursday, March 25th, 2010 1:45 pm - depart from SMS on bus 5:00 pm - Stop to eat in Des Moines, IA (bring $) 10:00 pm - arrive at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Chicago 11:30 pm - lights out

Friday, March 26th, 2010 8:00 am - breakfast around the hotel (bring $)- Dunkin’ Doughnuts, Starbucks, Hannah’s, etc… 9:00 am - rehearsal in the Hyatt 10:30 am - walk through downtown shops to Portillo’s for lunch (Bring $) 1:00 pm - load bus and go to Northwestern University 2:30 pm - workshop with Dr. Hasty at Northwestern University 4:15 pm - load bus to go back to Chicago 5:15 pm - arrive at Hotel

5:30 pm - dinner and sights at Navy Pier (bring $) 8:00 pm - “Billy Elliot” the musical – Ford Center for the performing arts 11:00 pm - back at the hotel 11:30 pm - lights out Saturday, March 27th, 2010 8:00 am - Breakfast around the Hotel (bring $) 8:45 am - Walk to the Shedd Aquarium (bus if bad weather) 9:00 am - Arrive at the Aquarium, look at the main aquarium 9:50 am - head to Oceanarium show

10:00 am – Oceanarium show 10:30 am - Polar Play Zone 11:30 am - Eat lunch at the aquarium (Bring $8-10)

12:00 pm – View the wild reef 1:00 to 2:00 pm - Go to the Field Museum (next door) 4:45 pm – Walk back to the hotel (bus if bad weather) 5:00 pm - Change clothes (if desired) and relax 5:45 pm - Walk to Giordano’s 6:00 pm - Dinner at Giordano’s Chicago Style pizza (Bring $) 7:20 pm - Walk through the shops downtown to CSO 8:00 pm - CSO Concert: Russian Masters Concert 10:00 pm - back at the Hotel 11:30 pm - Lights out Sunday, March 28th, 2010 8:00 am - Breakfast around the Hotel (bring $) 9:00 am - Depart for KC 12:30 pm - Lunch on the road 5:00 pm - arrive back at SMS, parents pick up students.
