Nemal Electronics International, Inc. is a fully integrated manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of fiber optic and copper electronic cable,

connectors, cable assemblies, and interconnect products for broadcast, communications, data, and electronic control applications. In addition

to the products we manufacture, Nemal is an authorized distributor for many other major manufacturers of interconnect products including RFS

Cablewave Systems, Amphenol, Times Microwave, Lemo, Switchcraft, Neutrik, Trompeter, Audio Accessories, Allen Avionics, and General Cable.

In 1999, we established our first assembly and test facility for the then new Lemo SMPTE standard HDTV fiber optic connector. We have

participated in many of the largest HDTV connector installations in the world, including those at NBC, CNN, TV Globo in Brasil (Projac), LDS in Salt

Lake City, Univision, and many others. We offer a complete range of services for HDTV fiber installations including training, design, installation,

and product sales.

Since 1977, Nemal has served thousands of customers throughout the world including all major U.S. broadcast networks, many Fortune

500 companies, numerous U.S. and foreign government agencies, and many others. Our customers include ABC, Cable and Wireless, CNN,

Ericsson, Hewlett Packard, HBO, IBM, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, NBC, Panasonic, CBS, Sony, TRW, TV Globo, the United Nations, and the

United States Navy.

Our factory, located in Miami, contains approximately 28,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and is capable of producing standard and custom

cables up to 30 mm (1.2”) in diameter. This facility includes a complete design and test laboratory as well as multiple extrusion lines, cabling,

shielding, and special process equipment. This plant has received multiple approvals from UL (Underwriters Laboratories) for hundreds of cable

designs, and operates under a strict quality control system with frequent independent inspections.

Our main building, located in North Miami, houses our worldwide administrative headquarters. In this building, we stock more than 3000 cable and

connector products and also produce cable assemblies, patch panels and cable identification products. This facility contains approximately 14,000

square feet including our connector manufacturing operations and RF and microwave test laboratory. The laboratory includes separate network

analyzers for both 50 and 75 ohm testing from DC to as high as 40 GHZ. Production equipment in this facility includes multiple CNC machines and

secondary equipment, capable of manufacturing a wide range of precision connector, adapter, and fiber optic products. We have designed and

manufactured numerous special products to meet both market and individual customer requirements, and hold a US Patent on our field version of

the industry standard DT12 audio connector.

Nemal do Brasil, Ltda., located in São Paulo, is our stocking facility and office in Latin America. At this location, established in 1996, we maintain

a wide variety of broadcast and communication interconnect products and manufacture cable assemblies for immediate delivery within Mercosur.

Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer for HDTV SMPTE CableUser friendly, extremely versatile, and cost effective fusion splicing system for use with SMPTE fiber cable

as well as almost all standard fiber connector types. Based on the industry leading Fujikura FSM Series,

this small, light weight unit is suitable for field or bench use. Custom Nemal adapters and holders make this

unit compatible with ST, SC, FC, LC, APC, and other connectors, both single and multi-mode (50-62.5mm).

The splicer is microprocessor controlled, provides instantaneous readout of insertion loss, and includes a

built-in shrink oven for fiber protection sleeves. Nemal also offers a complete termination kit including

precision cleaver, strip tool, and consumables.

SMPTE Fiber Field Test SetRuggedized SMPTE Test Set is designed for harsh work conditions where handheld units are not appropriate.

The SMPTE Test Set utilizes a remote loopback unit for single ended testing of both optical fibers as well

as power for the built-in copper conductor tests. The set checks all 4 copper conductors for continuity and

shorts as well as verifying the integrity of the grounding shield in the cable with simple pass/fail audible and

visual indicators. The main control unit houses the optical fiber power meter readout, copper conductor test

indicators, and the SMPTE fixed plug connector. The Remote Unit contains the SMPTE fixed socket connector.

Tactical Fiber Cable (2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 Fiber)Nemal fiber optic tactical cable consists of a rugged, flexible polyurethane outer

jacket and either two or four 900um tight-buffered fibers surrounded by aramid

yarn and an aramid ripcord.

The jacket is pressure extruded over the strength member which allows the pulling

device to be attached directly to the cable’s outer jacket. This will transfer the

pulling force directly to the strength members with no slippage.

The dielectric cable construction requires no grounding and its smaller diameter

and low bend radius allow easy installation in space-constrained areas. In addition, the Singlemode and 50um OM3 versions of the cable utilize

advanced bend insensitive fibers. This also allows the fan-outs to benefit from a smaller diameter bend radius.
