Introduction

The muscular system is an organ system consisting of skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscles. It permits movement of the body, maintain posture, and circulates blood throughout the body. The muscular system in vertebrates is controlled through the nervous system, although some muscles (Such as the cardiac muscle) can be completely autonomous. We have 600 ~ 700 muscles in our body. Muscles help our body to move.

Smooth muscles:We can’t control these muscles. They are divided into two groups:

single-unit muscle and multi-unit muscle. They are

found within the walls of the blood vessel

Cardiac muscles: We can’t control these mus-cles. They are found in the walls and the foun-

dation of the heart, specifically the my-

ocardium.Skeletal muscles: We can control

these muscles. It exists under con-

trol of the somatic nervous system,

that it is voluntary controlled. It is made up of indi-

vidual components known as my-

ocatyes, or "mus-cle cells", some-

times called "mus-cle fibers".

How we can care our muscular system???

We have to take care our muscles. For our muscles to be healthy, we have to;

-Exercise regularly-Eat healthy food with enough protein-Drink a lot of water-get enough rest or sleep

Muscles grow more and more. When we become adults, we will have strong muscles!!!

Fun facts of muscles

When we write our name, we use about 20mus-cles. When we smile we use about 17muscles. When we frown, we use about 43muscles. We use muscles all the time.

The smallest muscles are in the middle of the ear.

Muscles can account for about 40% your body weight. Muscles can only pull, they cannot, as some people assume, push.

There are 640 individual names for muscles. Muscles need oxygen and food to function prop-erly. The hardest working muscles in the body are the muscles in the eye.
