How is it done ?

Who stands to benefit?

How is the service operated ?

Why Green Aware ?

What is Green Aware ?

The intention is to drive a change in user behavior through the education in utility and resource consumption inside an enterprise

Green Aware is deployed on Cisco‟s Digital Signage solution in configuration with Connected Building Systems platform, the Mediator . The „Green‟ content is provided by the Mediator and displayed via dynamic HTML on the network infrastructure.

Building owners, telecom service providers, operators and end-users/tenants

Green Aware utilizes next-generation IT technologies to display real-time building energy consumption along with anecdotal information on a company‟s sustainability efforts.

Green Aware can operate as a managed service that does not require on-site technical personnel

What is Lecture Capture?

Umbrella term describing any

technology that allows presenters &

learners to record classroom event

and make it available in digital format

Purpose

• Preview of lecture material prior to class

• Review of lecture material, especially

difficult concepts

• Providing supplemental material

• Increasingly, synchronous

delivery/collaboration

Solution Options

• Software-based with standard computers

• Hardware-based with integrated devices,

e.g., audio recording & cameras

• SaaS cloud-based

Lecture Capture

Benefits of Lecture Capture

Free up class time to focus on discussion,

demonstration, and experiential work

Provides students “anytime, anywhere” access

course content, review difficult or important

concepts, supplement learning experience

Allows access for those who were unable to attend

class due to illness, weather, personal issues, or

accessibility constraints

Recorded lectures enable searching for content

across all video content and resources campus-wide

Alternative learning method for diverse learners

Rich media and video are more engaging than voice

& data alone

Proven to improve learning process

Supplement professional development

Opportunity for guest lecturers to be recorded for

subsequent classes

A Learning Space is a classroom or lecture hall that is enabled for Learning Vision. At the heart of it all is the Learning Station – a multimedia control desk enabling presenters to combine multiple presentation sources into a single stream. A touch screen interface lets presenters control the recording session and choose which inputs to use for the presentation.
