We are inviting artists to submit artworks on postcards; to create a work of art on one side and share a story, real or imagined, on the other. Dungeons and dragons, beachside sojourns or concrete jungle cabaret, these postcards will form the basis of a collaborative showcase that investigates and celebrates the individual and collective experiences of contemporary youth. Your artwork can be done in a range of mediums, whether it be drawing, printmaking, photography or collage. You can be as creative as you like with your surface, the only requirements are that your artworks must be associated with the theme of storytelling and conform to a B6 postcard format – see template attached. You can create your own postcard, or we can post them to you. Contact Christie Torrington on [email protected] with your name, postal address and the number of postcards required. To participate in the smart ARTS Exhibition you must be aged 15 - 26yrs of age. Entries will be exhibited in the Pine Street Art Gallery, from 8 - 28 April 2016 (inclusive). The smart ARTS Youth Festival is held over National Youth Week (8-17 April) and will present a comprehensive, supported & fun art exhibition experience for young artists aged 15-26 yrs. - free exhibition space of your postcard for the duration of the exhibition- installation of your artwork by our curatorial team

CONDITIONS OF ENTRYPLEASE READ ALL TERMS & CONDITIONS CAREFULLY!

1. The registration form and work of art must be submitted by the deadline on 14 March 2016.2. All artists must be between 15 – 26yrs of age.3. All entries must be the original work of the artist.4. All works must conform to a postcard format 125mm x 176mm. Works outside of this format may not be accepted. The exhibition is open to all mediums (drawing, collage, photography, painting, mixed media, etc).5. All works must be fully labelled with your name, and title (if applicable).6. The registration form and works must be delivered to Pine Street Gallery between 9am and 6pm OR posted to the Pine Street Gallery, 64 Pine St, Chippendale, NSW, 2008 by the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted. 7. All fields in the entry form must be filled in. Please include artist name, contact details, materials used and price. 8. Wet paintings will not be accepted.9. The decision of the curators is final & no correspondence will be entered into. The curators reserve the right to refuse works on the basis of inappropriate material, size, limited hanging space or late arrivals. 10. The exhibitor grants to the Pine Street Creative Arts Centre permission to exhibit and/or reproduce the entry by photographs or film for the Pine Street webpage, newspapers, internet listings, or other promotional purposes. Artists will be credited if their art work is used.
