Rapid Metro Communication project is convergence of multipleCommunication and IT Infra layer such as

• Shared Street / Last Mile Infrastructure layer - for Sensors, WiFi , Public Safety , Public Information System , PassengerAnnouncement system

• Integrated Network Infrastructure Layer – High Capacity 10Gnetwork ( Packet+ TDM)

• Unified and location neutral Communication layer - forPassengers , O&M staff , controllers, driver @ train/ station andintegration with DMRC Hotline

• Asset tracking and building management Layer - formonitoring IT ( Server , network) and Non IT Infra ( Power, Fire ,Water level , Energy etc ) on integrated centralized dash board

• Command Control Center in DC/ DR Model - For monitoringsafety of passenger , train operation and infrastructure includingtrack auxiliaries, AFC

• Intelligent SLA and Performance monitoring platform - BI ,Trouble Ticket, SLA history , Trend Analysis , RAMS ( Reliability ,Availability , Maintainability and Safety )

Project Overview

Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL), a special purpose vehicle(SPV) was formed, India’s first fully privately financed metro:

A network of 5.1 km connecting Cyber City, NH-8 & Sikanderpur station(DMRC) in Ph-I

A network of 7 km along Golf Course Road connecting Sector 55-56 toDelhi Metro at Sikanderpur in Phase II

An extension towards Udyog Vihar in north is proposed which willfinally make the length of system almost 20 km

With the advent of Rapid Metro, commuters will get a welcome relief fromthe traffic woes, connecting them to the NH-8, Gurgaon & Delhi. Theexpansion of the system would enhance traffic on the current alignmentsignificantly benefitting both old and new Gurgaon.

Rapid Metro Phase-1 Project is having 6 station and Operation ControlCenter and Phase-2 project will have a route length of about 7km with 5stations namely - DLF Phase-1, Sushant Lok, Sector 53-54, AIT Chowk andSector 55-56 (terminal station). Stabling and maintenance depot will belocated in the vicinity of AIT Chowk. A Disaster Recovery Control Center isplanned as Backup Control Centre (BCC) at Depot. The OCC will continueto be located at Moulsari Avenue .

The Project, envisages a seamless operation and to provide the necessaryreal time information and intelligence to the decision makers at all levelswhile integrating all stations depots and command center.

IL& FS Technologies Limited has implemented a complete IntegratedCommunication and Telecom (ICT) infrastructure, comprising of supply ofhardware, software, configuration, deployment/ installation,commissioning of telecom, surveillance, security system of Phase-2project and integration with phase-1 project consisting of following subsystem
