BREWERY / DISTILLERY TOUR Friday, May 1, 2020 – 11:00am

There's no better way to spend an afternoon in Victoria than with 39 of your closest friends and associates by taking a luxury shuttle bus to two Craft Breweries and one Craft Spirits Distillery.

Enjoy a sampling of multiple styles of fresh local craft beer and spirits at each respective location along with a fully guided back of the house tour with a hands-on introduction to the craft brewing and distillation processes.

While attending SMACNA-BC’s 51st Annual Convention, there is the opportunity to participate in the Annual Convention Golf Tournament at Bear Mountain Resort on the Mountain Course on Friday, May 1.

The rugged Mountain Course strikes the perfect balance between playability and a truly challenging year-round golf experience for all skill levels. The Mountain Course is a masterpiece, offering demanding terrain and spectacular natural beauty. A par 70 playing at 6,900 yards, the course takes full advantage of its setting atop an 1,100’ mountain, exhibiting dramatic elevation changes and awe-inspiring views. Co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve, the Mountain Course played host to the PGA Tour Champions 2016 and 2017 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship.

WILD PLAY ELEMENT ACTIVITIES Friday, May 1, 2020 - 11:00am

On Friday, May 1, follow us to Victoria’s Wild Play Elements. Way, way up above your head is The Wild Play Classic Course where everything is thrown at you: log ladders, ziplines, cargo nets, rope swings, tightropes, swinging logs, wobbly bridges. Dozens of suspended surprises are up there, becoming more challenging the higher you get. But stick with it, you’ll learn as you go. The Adventure Course games are “a-ok” for humans who are aren’t always gung-ho about heights, because everyone needs somewhere to let their fear out to play.

Requirements to participate: CLASSIC COURSE consists of 32 games and 4 ziplines in three levels of progressive intensity. Up to 40ft high! • Minimum age 5 • Minimum height: 4’8” (142cm) • Maximum weight limit is 300lbs (136kg) • Maximum harness size: 132cm (52″) waist, and 73cm (29″) legs (circumference) • Wear the right shoes for the adventure – closed toe and secured to the foot (no

flip-flops, crocs or slides/flats). • Long hair tied back. • 2 – 3 hours to complete • Chaperone requirements: A responsible adult must accompany kids age 13 and

younger on site. • Signed waiver is required for each guest

KIDS COURSE consists of 16 games and 3 bumple zips that kids get to do twice. Up to 15ft high! • Built for humans aged 5 – 12 • Chaperone requirements: A responsible adult must accompany kids age 13 and

younger on site. • Minimum height: 3’ 9” (114cm) • Maximum weight limit is 300lbs (136kg). • Wear the right shoes for the adventure – closed toe and secured to the foot (no

flip-flops, crocs or slides/flats). • Long hair tied back. • 45 – 90 minutes to complete. • Parent/legal guardian signed waiver is required for each child guest.

Registration will be on a first come first serve basis; there is a limit of 40 guests. The cost to conquer this Wild Play course on Friday, May 1 is $67.50 plus GST; For the Kid’s ONLY Course $53.00 plus GST. One Course and lunch is included! *Upgrades and other course options are available for purchase on site.

BC PARLIAMENT BUILDING TOURFriday, May 1, 2020 - 11:00am

While attending SMACNA-BC’s 51st Annual Convention, on Friday, May 1 take a Harbour Ferry across the Inner Harbour and join in on a guided tour of the Parliament Buildings, home to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia where elected representatives – called Members of the Legislative Assembly or MLAs – meet to shape the future of the province by debating and passing the laws that govern British Columbia.

The Parliament Buildings and surrounding areas are located on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen (pronounced Le-KWUNG-en) people. Now known as the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, these Coast Salish people have a rich culture and history dating back thousands of years. Come to discover the history of the province, the architectural splendor of our cherished heritage building and learn about British Columbia's parliamentary process. Once the tour is complete head to the Parliamentary Dining Room to enjoy a delicious lunch. Please note below is the Security screening process to enter the buildings.

• Upon arrival at the Parliament Buildings, visitors will be directed to a screening area.

• Alternate screening arrangements may be made for visitors with pacemakers or other medical conditions.

• Visitors should allow for sufficient time to go through security screening, as line ups may occur.

• Only one (1) bag smaller than 54 cm x 37 cm x 20 cm is permitted per visitor.

• At minimum, visitors must wear casual dress and footwear. • Participating in any form of demonstration inside the Parliament

Buildings is prohibited, including wearing items or clothing with visible political messages.

This tour is limited to 24 guests the cost to tor the Parliament Building is $40.00 plus GST, Harbour Ferry Transportation and lunch is included.
