Parts of Slop Boiler

Feeder:There are two feeder system i.e. Screw and drag chain feeder.

Water wall:Where the water pipes originates

Super heater:Two super heaters are used , primary and secondary.

APCD:Air pollution control device

FD AND ID:Forced draft and Induced draft.

Economizer:Preheat the water for steam generation.

Air Heater:Preheat the air to be supplied into furnace.

Chimney:Outlet from where gas leave the plant and comes into environment.

RAW MATERIAL USED

• Liquid effluent (spent wash) generated from the distillery process.

• Slop (concentrated spent wash)

• Bagasse (left after taking the juice out of sugarcane)

• Wooden Chips

• Coal if available can also be used
