SloanLED Prism Enlighten takes advantage of the same prism lens technology found in our original SloanLED Prism module, to give you the widest, most even spread of illumination, broadening spacing between rows, and properly dispersing the light to avoid hot spots in shallow applications. This results in a blend of light from all the modules, versus a direct projection onto the face from each module individually.

The path to enlightenment.

The human eye is an incredibly sensitive instrument, and our brains are wired to detect exceptions and inconsistencies in our environment. Tiny process variations in manufacturing can manifest themselves as a problem when it comes to any product that deals with light and color, and this phenomenon can be observed in lot-to-lot variation in dyes, fabrics, and paints. LEDs are no exception.

Binning is a method of sorting LED chips so that all the LEDs from one particular bin share a similar output and appearance. Many LED systems often demonstrate a temperature range variation of 1000 K, and extreme deviations like that can result in substantial differences in color. SloanLED uses a 3-step MacAdam Ellipse binning process for chip color consistency so your brand is represented accurately every time.

Consistency is key.

Constant Current Technology (CCT) is at the heart of SloanLED's product offering, and forms the backbone of SloanLED channel letter products. We introduced CCT to the industry to maintain consistent current levels, eliminating the line loss and voltage drop issues common in many LED lighting systems. CCT provides uniform light output throughout the entire installation, while also preventing damage from overdriving of the LEDs.

Other LED manufacturers use low-end components, driving them at or near capacity in order to maximize brightness at the expense of longevity – overdriving the LEDs for instant gratification while sacrificing sustainability and endurance. SloanLED Prism Enlighten uses the top LED chip on the market, driven at an extremely low current (35-40%), causing less stress on the LED, requiring fewer power supplies, significantly lower operating costs, up-front labor, and material expenses, resulting in the longest lifespan on the market at 150,000+ hours.
