Futureshock Sets: Kitchen, Dinning Room, Living room,
Bedroom and Bathroom.
Future Shock has been a style
on the store for quite some
time, with new sets being
added over time. We
now have a great array
of items to decorate a
complete house, which
of course is awesome!
Through time and space,
this set takes us right into
the future and although
it looks like a very specified
style it is in fact rather
versatile!
Each piece has many channels for
recoloring and re-texturing so you
can achieve almost any look you
want. The living room and kitchen
sets give us the ability to not only
change color and textures, but
change the color of the lights. This
means you can pick any color
palette you desire. Unfortunately,
the bedrooms and bathroom don't
let us change the color of the
lights or the yellow stripes on the
bathroom set, which is a downside
to this collection. Nonetheless it's
still rather versatile. Woods and
stone can give a nice modern or
eco feel, whereas bold colors and
patterns can give a 60s or 70s flair!
I think what I like most about
this set is that there are so
many options. Once you start
playing with patterns and
textures, you can create
many different looks that look
great in any town and not just
Lunar Lakes. These sets work
well with each other and
blend nicely with other items.
There is nice selection of
functional furniture such as
beds, chairs, and tables
among other items, but
there is also a lot of decor
and entertainment items.
The base style of gleaming
metals and bright blue lights
can be slightly off-putting to
some as it looks like it would
be more suited to Star Trek,
but you can tone down the
pieces very easily and
make them feel more
homey.
I quite like using woods and soft fabrics to give a relaxed
and almost beach-like feel to this set. The cool lights and
the slick feeling of the shapes give a modern twist
creating a house with great character and at the heart
of this collection that is what shines through; character.
So whether you want a retro pink palace, a laid back
surf hut, or a modern gothic dream, this set is sure to give
your build that extra bit of personality!
