First Side

Getting started: Heel and Toe will be worked around entire Sole into end sts of rows along sides or into bottoms and tops of sts across Heel and Toe ends of Sole.

Row 1: With size H hook, working in starting ch on opposite side of row 1 of Sole, join (see Pattern Note) 1 strand in ch at base of center sc of row 1, ch 11, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each of next 9 chs, sl st in next 2 sts or row ends on Sole, turn. (10 sc)

Row 2 (RS): Ch 1, working in back lps (see Stitch Guide), sk all sl sts, sc in each sc across, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, working in back lps, sc in each sc across, sl st into each of next 2 row ends or sts on Sole, turn.

Rows 4–12 [4–16, 4–22]: [Rep rows 2 and 3 alternately] 5 [7, 10] times, ending last rep with row 2. At end of last row, do not fasten off.

Toe
