The ASSA Abloy group develops and manufactures door clo-

sers in an ultramodern, highly specialised factory at Abloy Oy,

Joensuu in Finland. With more than 80 years of experience

our products now close doors smoothly on every continent.

ASSA Door Closers control door movement so that closing is

quiet and precise. Assa Door Closers are developed to meet

the harsh conditions of extremely cold climate such as the

Northern Marine environment and the Arctic.

ASSA Door Closer manufacturing system is flexible enough to

meet the requirements for OEM applications. The range

includes models for the KONE and OTIS elevator

companies and is further supplemented by

special models, which can be mounted

inside the door leaf or doorframe.

Our quality system is in compliance

with ISO 9001 and our products

meet the requirements of national

standards such as EN and ANSI.

ASSA door closers are attractively

designed with three different sizes

available: D20, D30 and D40. A full

range of fittings provides the user with great

flexibility.

The aluminium body of the door closers and the plastic ABS

material used are both recyclable. Environmental aspects are

a main consideration in the Assa Abloy group and Assa AB is

certified in compliance with ISO 14001.

ASSA Door Closer D20 series are suitable for all types

of internal doors where perfect and secure closure is

important.

The door closer body is made of moulded aluminium.

Operation is based on a rack and

pinion mecha-

nism which

is hydraulically

damped with temperature

compensated valves.

This makes Assa Door

Closers very reliable towards

temperature changes (-30

- +45°C). The initial closing

speed and the final closing speed can be

separately adjusted which is useful when you want extra

force to insure tight door closure.

ASSA Door Closers are equipped with a unique adjus-

table shaft plug which makes it possible to adjust the

height of the arm up to 14 mm which reduces the need

for a supplementary mounting plate.

The power in the door closer body is ajustable between

sizes 1 and 4 according to EN standard.

D20 is made for standard doors with a leaf width

of up to 1100 mm and width of fire doors leaf up to

1000 mm.

A general purpose standard arm. The ball point makes it

easy to mount.

Hold-open Arm, D3012

Door Closer D30 series

ASSA Door Closer D30 series are for internal and external

doors with high opening frequency.

The D30 series are also suitable for large and heavy

doors.

Assa Door Closers are provided with a unique, adjustable

shaft plug which makes it possible to adjust the height

The adjustable opening brake (BC) is a standard feature

The Sliding Arm D4020 provides the user with good

protection against damage.

The design has been made to complement the door

closer making it popular where aesthetic appearance is

important.

Sliding Arm D4022

The same arm as D4020 but equipped with hold-open

device.

Assa Door Closer D40 series are suitable for all internal, external and fire doors. The design makes it vandalism

proof. The D40 series have a complete system

of electromechanical hold-open devices for single and twin doors with a built in door coordinator.

The door closer body is ma-nufactured in a light weight aluminium profile. Operation is based on a hydraulically damped rack and pinion system damped with temperature compensated valves. This makes Assa Door Closers very reliable towards temperature changes (-30 - +45°C). Closing power is progressive with extra power in the final closing where we use a sliding bar.

Outside door that are affected by wind can be mounted with an adjustable opening brake (BC). This function is standard on Assa Door Closer D40, BC.

The power in the door closer body is adjustable between sizes 3 and 5 according to EN standard.

Maximum width of the door is 1200 mm.

Assa Door Closer D40 series are suitable for single and

double swing door systems.

An electrically operated hold-open

device keeps the door in

open position. As soon

as the smoke detector,

connected to the control unit,

senses smoke the hold-open device releases and

the door closes securely. All functions are built in

to the armsystem which is why wall magnets are

unnecessary.

The door closer body is made in light aluminium

profile. Operation is based on a rack and pinion mechanism

which is hydraulically damped with temperature compen-

sated valves. This makes Assa Door Closers very reliable

toward temperature changes (-30 - +45°C).

Closing power is progressive which provides extra power

in the final closing due to the slidingbar. The power in

the door closer body is adjustable between sizes 3 and

5 EN standard.
