About the Slideshots collection

Slideshots  as  a  company  was  founded  in  2011  to  help  you  find  the  right  photos  for  use  in  presenta0ons.  We  do  this  in  two  ways:    •  By  offering  original  photos  that  are  different  from  standard  stock  photos.  All  photos  were  shot  with  real  

people  at  real  loca0ons.  All  photos  were  professionally  made  and  are  available  in  high  quality.  •  By  adding  special  tags  to  photos  that  help  you  find  a  striking  metaphor.  Rather  than  searching  on  what  is  

in  the  picture  (‘a  microscope’)  we  tag  possible  uses  for  the  photo.  Thus  you  can  browse  the  Slideshots  database  for  original  ideas  and  metaphors.

Agence  France-­‐Presse  (AFP),  headquartered  in  Paris,    is  one  of  the  oldest  news  agencies  in  the  world  and  one  of  the  few  agencies  with  a  worldwide  network  of  reporters  and  photographers.  Using  this  network,  AFP  provides  the  clients  of  its  wire  service  with  material  covering  major  events  all  over  the  world.    The  photo  material  from  the  AFP  wire  service  was  created  for  use  by  top  newspapers  and  magazines.  Through  Slideshots,  this  material  is  made  available  for  the  first  0me  to  individual  users.  This  is  done  under  a  special  ‘photos  for  presenta0ons’  license.  When  you  buy  a  photo  from  Slideshots,  you  only  buy  the  right  to  use  the  photo  in  a  presenta0on.
