Experience rural Turkish village life in a lux-

ury stone villa, whilst being amongst won-

derful countryside and close to the beach-

es. From the moment your luggage is taken from

you and you walk along the track through a small

meadow to Villa Lale you realise you are some-

where special. Set amongst orchards the this vil-

la offers the perfect getaway location.

Close to the heart of the hamlet and mosque you

are nonetheless in a completely private and tran-

quil location. It has been designed and built by

the same team that built our Turkish retreat, Vil-

la Nurtan www.VillaNurtan.com, sourcing crafts-

men from the village. Using local labour and

materials we have aimed to create a villa that is

sympathetic to its surroundings. This extends to

our furniture, which is mostly hand-made in the

village. Villa Lale is located in Keçibükü, Orhani-

ye, an idyllic valley location surrounded by olive

trees and hills. It is only 25 km away from bus-

tling Marmaris, yet offers a peaceful retreat for

discerning families looking for a private and very

special place to unwind, well away from ‘devel-

opments’.

It has a large veranda, fantastic sun terrace and

garden barbeque. It has an eco-friendly pool that

is completely private and not overlooked by any-

body. Free 4G WiFi Internet access. Our team will

ensure you have a wonderful time.

BathroomsMaster bedroom has en-suite bathroom with large walk in shower. Family bathroom has a shower. Downstairs toilet.

KitchenFeatures handmade units made by the local carpenter. It includes a gas cooker, electric grill/oven, extraction fan, dishwasher, fridge freez-er and portable grill. There is a filter system to provide high quality drinking water.

VerandasThere are two large verandas, one upstairs and one downstairs. A third is set by the pool. There is also a wooden swinging chair in the garden.

Communications

A/C to all bedrooms and lounge with fan light in kitchen. A backup water distribution system maintains water supplies even if the village supply fails.

Air Conditioning

Towels (for indoor use), tea towels and linen all provided. Towels and bed linen changed twice weekly. Villa cleaned twice weekly, pool cleaned and garden tendered as required.

Villa Lale is on the Bozburun Peninsula offering a

peaceful retreat for discerning families looking for

Villa Lale guests enjoy the luxuries of a private

pool whilst being part of a rural Turkish ham-

let. In the garden is a stone BBQ for outside

meals and around the side of the villa is a swinging

chair that is great for a quiet read.

Our guests like being part of the community. There are

the sounds of village life. If you are used to the rumble

of cars and street life, you will instead get used to the

call to prayer just before dawn and at intervals through

the day from the village mosque. At night time you

may hear cockerels, dogs, the snuffle of a wild boar,

the occasional gun shot as the men hunt at night or the

music of a wedding celebration. At other times there

is utter quiet – except for the sounds of frogs in the

spring whilst the streams are running and the cicadas

in high summer.

You can watch the natural world at your leisure – the

bats and stars at night, birds swooping to drink at the

pool, dragonflies over the water, the birds of prey over-

head or just watch the garden grow.

What is it like to stay in a Turkish village?

You will notice that everyone is friendly

and will greet you with ‘Merhaba’ (Hello).

The Kecibuku hamlet has a population of around

350, so you can be sure that everyone will know who

you are or will work out where you are staying very

quickly.

As a stranger you are a guest in the community, so

you may be given a gesture of welcome – perhaps

an orange or a fig from a tree as you walk by.

Villa Lale nestles in the midst of orange groves.

Close to the heart of the hamlet access is via a track

away from any road. Yet you will hear and see vil-

lage life – the call to prayer from the nearby mosque,

women (usually ) working in the nearby fields, chick-

ens, cows and goats in the surrounding orchards.

This is a place for those who want to experience rural

village life, without sacrificing luxury.

Getting to the Bozburun Peninsula

We can arrange private transfers from Dalaman airport using a transfer com-pany based in the village. Transfers take about one hour and 40 mins.

Airport Transfers

We can arrange private car hire for you with the same local company. They can provide rental cars picked up at the air-port or deliver a rental car to the villa for use when you arrive. They also provide cars by the day, delivered to the villa.

Private boat trips are very popular with our guests as they can go to quiet bays and swim in the crystal-clear waters. We can arrange these trips on request.

Nearest airport to Villa Lale is Dalaman (DLM). Our private transfers take about one hour 40 mins

Orhaniye is located on the Bozburun pen-

insula which is protected by government

laws against the excesses of mass tour-

ism. It is at the point where the Mediterranean sea

meets the Aegean sea so it has a wonderful cli-

mate all year around, similar to that found in Cali-

fornia, with hot summers and mild winters.

Within a few kilometres you get up in the hills to

the pretty village of Bayir with its stunning views

or travel down the peninsula to Bozburun which

lives off boat building and yacht servicing. Orhani-

ye may only be 25 Km from Marmaris but it could

be easily be the other side of the world.

Villa Lale is 1 hour 40 minutes drive away from

Dalaman Airport (DLM) which is the closest air-

port to enter Turkey. Now there are many charter

flights all the year round from most UK and Euro-

pean airports to Dalaman. 4 hour flight.

BOZBURUN ON THE BOZBURUN PENINSULA Quiet village that is famous for making tradition-

al wooden ‘gulets’.

ESKI DATÇA ON THE DATÇA PENINSULA Restored village near Datça, famous for being

a centre for artists.

Famous KızkumuKızkumu in Orhaniye bay is so beautiful that the Government has applied to have the area classed as a World Heritage Site.
