SPECIALTY PROGRAMS

RANCH CAMP • $229Groom, tack, and ride your own horse at the ranch, in the arena and on the trail for half a day everyday Monday through Thursday. Campers must be at least 7 years old, weigh at least 50lbs and have a height of 50” or taller.

HORSEBACK RIDING LESSON • $45An hour and a half introduction to horseback riding that may include a guided trail ride depending on camper’s skill level. Campers must be at least 7 years old, weigh at least 50lbs and have a height of 50” or taller.

SADDLES AND SKIS • $79 (Ages 10-15)Split your time between land and wateractivities, at the ranch, and on the lake. *Campers must pass a swim test

WATER SKIING AND WAKEBOARDING CAMP • $179Water ski, wakeboard, and wake skate on our pristine, private lake with our trained instructors. Program includes half days onthe waterfront Monday through Thursday for children ages 12 to 15. *Campers must pass a swim test.

WATER SKI LESSON • $39An hour and a half introductory water ski lesson on our speed boat with trained instructors. For children ages 12 to 15.*Campers must pass a swim test.

RAFTING ON THE DELAWARE RIVER • $50

an experienced guide and life guard, during this exciting day trip. Program is available to Talcott Village campers only. For children ages 12 to 15.*Campers must pass a swim test.

6 and 7 year olds experience camp activities with their cabin group at McAlister Village. This group will participate in three different activities and swim in the lake daily. One of the most popular activities is the farm and garden.

8 to12 year olds choose activities based on individual interests at McAlister Village. They develop skills from our progressive programs and choose three areas to specialize in during the week.

12 year olds choose which village to attend, McAlister or Talcott, and choose activities based on individual interests.

12 to 15 year olds have the opportunity to choose activities based on individual preference and as a cabin group. Talcott campers participate in High Team Elements regularly, such as the Silver Swing which stands 50 feet high!

HEALTHY MEALS, HEALTHY CHOICESMeals are served buffet style. Every breakfast features a hot entrée, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal. Lunch and dinner include a hot entrée, full salad bar and sandwiches. Vegetarian options are available at each meal.

PROFESSIONAL & DEDICATED STAFFCounselors and medical staff are on duty 24 hours a day. Counselors are trained to ensure safety, demonstrate YMCA core values, and support each and every camper’s growth.

50% of all camp fees must be paid by May 1st. Final payments must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the start of camp.

Safe, sensational travel adventures for ages 10-15.

One and two week trips in regions where campers can experience exciting outdoor activities including:

Mountain biking, hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, kayaking,

team adventure and so much more.

Safety is our primary focus and our in Wilderness

First Responder, YMCA Lifeguarding, and First Aid/CPR/AED. Trip leaders receive two weeks of training focused

on working with children and ensuring their safety in an outdoor environment. All trips begin from and end at camp.

Learn important life skills while still having fun at camp this summer! The CIT program is for boys and girls that are 16 years old by June 1, 2014.

Led by our Teen Directors, CITs will gain valuable real world experience in public speaking, resume building, college planning, and several other skills needed to work in a

CITs will participate in traditional camp activities as well as CIT leadership workshops during this 3–week program.

While it is not necessary for a CIT to be a future counselor, much of the practical experience and skills learned will be aimed toward that possibility. The skills learned will help in any future leadership position.

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAM (CIT)

Realizing that families have different abilities to pay, we have a voluntary 3-tier pricing program. Please take a moment to look at the rates and determine which of the three prices your family is able to pay for your child’s experience. The

program is voluntary, and in

experience children receive. No family is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. Call us at 877-30-YCAMP for

assistance information.

Weekend Camp allows campers to extend their stay between sessions with in-camp activities. All meals, supervision, and laundry are provided. Weekend Camp is not a standalone program.

Week 1: Living in Talcott, our teen village, CIT’s will take part in workshops aimed at developing them for the real world, round table discussions and have the opportunity to meet and hear experienced keynote speakers.

Week 2: CITs will spend their day with children and experienced counselors at our younger children’s village, McAlister. This allows our CITs to slowly transition into a leadership role and become more familiar with the inner-workings of the camp.

Week 3: CITs will be paired with a hand-picked counselor to live in a cabin with 6 children. CIT’s will be able to

building and much more.

Applicants wishing to be a CIT must complete the CIT application, register for camp, supply contact information for three references and pass a personal interview.
