Property and Grounds special update: The Gathering Place roof is worn thin and needs replacing (16 years old). We are currently scheduled for Integrity Roofing of Poulsbo to remove and replace the shingles and underlayment on October 14-15. The trustees plan to utilize the Building Fund to pay the $45,000 cost. Any contributions to the Building Fund to offset the cost of the project will certainly be welcome.

PB’s Thursday Bible Study @ 10:30am (virtual meeting) Pastor Bill’s Thursday Bible study started up again last Thursday from 10:30-11:45 am. The study this Fall will be topical and not simply walking through a book of the Bible. The topic for each Thursday will be listed in the Beacon the Sunday before and also emailed out to those who have attended in the past and are on that email list. Financial News

Below is a 3-year financial comparison of income vs. expenses through the end of August each year. Generous giving resulted in an all-time high of income offerings for the month of August, $83,454. Ministry, operations, and benevo-lence expenses were $69,989. Net income for August was $13,465, and net in-come for 2020 is $38,727 greater than expenses. Offerings for the first two weeks of September 2020 have declined and are below the estimated weekly amount needed to meet expenses.

The figures below do not include income of $106,000 from the Payroll Protec-tion Program grant (PPP), received through the Small Business Administration in early May. The PPP funds will help provide a safety net for unexpected fiscal

needs and/or loss of income due to COVID19.
