We opened in 1969, and we are one of three community colleges in the San Mateo County Community College District. Students love Skyline because of our convenient location; low cost; the broad range, high quality and availability of our degree and certificate programs; flexible scheduling; and student-centered environment.Skyline College offers opportunities for students of all ages. Through Skyline's Guaranteed Transfer Program, many Skyline graduates transfer to a wide range of four-year colleges and universities. Other Skyline college students graduate and achieve an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.). Students achieve employment and advancement in business and industry after earning certificates from Skyline's 43 Certificate programs. Our certificate programs include Automotive Technology, Biotechnology, Cosmetology, many areas of Business, Early Childhood Education, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology, and Telecommunications & Network Information Technology.

2014-2015 Season ReviewThe   2014-­‐2015   Skyline   College   Women’s   Basketball   Team   continued   the   program’s  upward   trend.    The  2014-­‐2015  preseason  included  a  win  over  Bay  Valley  Conference  Champions  Merritt  College  and  a  Fresno  City  College  Tournament  Championship.    

During  the  Coast  Conference  regular  season,  Skyline  swept  district  rivals  College  of  San  Mateo,   defeated  City   College  of   San  Francisco   and  beat   Chabot   College,   the   eventual  state  champions,   on  sophomore  night  to  Jinish  in  third  place.    Skyline  qualiJied  for  the  California  State  playoffs  and  was  defeated  by  Sierra  College  in  the  second  round.    

Numerous  Skyline  players  earned  individual  honors.    Stephanie  Allen,  Tianna  Mitchell,  and  Jazel  Talauta  were  named  First  Team  All  Coast  Conference,  while  Sahara  Clay  was  named  Second  Team  All  Coast  Conference.  

2015-2016 Season PreviewSkyline  Women’s   Basketball   has   worked   hard   in   the   off-­‐season   to   get   ready   for   the  upcoming  year.    Skyline  will   again  play  a  challenging  schedule   in  preparation  for   the  Coast  Conference  North  season.    

Skyline  returns  some  key  players  from  last  season  including  First  Team  All  Conference  selection   Stephanie   Allen   and   one   of   last   season’s   top   scorers   Alyssa   Dela   Cruz.    Sophomore   Dana   Michaels   returns   to   action   after   sitting   out   last   season,   while  sophomores   Jessica   Pineda   and   Aria   Gallardo   look   to   build   on   solid   freshmen  campaigns.    

Skyline   introduces   a   number   of   new   players   onto   their   roster   this   year.     Expect  improved   perimeter   play   from   Victoria   Langi,   Arianna   Sheehy   and  Daniela   Recinto.    Skyline   has   increased   their   three   point   range   with   the   addition   of   freshman   Juliet  Courtney.    Charme  Noordzee  adds  balance  to   the  line-­‐up  with  her  ability   to  play  with  her  back  to   the  basket.    Expect  solid  defensive  play  from  freshmen  Victoria  Montague  and  Marina  Aleman.

Freshmen  Mira  Avila  and  Noe  Castillo  add  rotational   depth  while  working  back   from  injuries.

 Chris  WattersHead  Women’s  Basketball  Coach      

Chris   is  set  to  begin  his   fourth  year  as  Head  Coach  of  the   Skyline   College   Women’s   Basketball   Program.    Prior   to   becoming   head   coach,   Chris   served   as   an  assistant   coach   at   Skyline   College   for   Jive   seasons.    Over   the   past   eight   seasons,   Skyline   College   has  advanced   to   the   California   State   Play-­‐offs   four   times  and   seen   numerous   players   transfer   to   four-­‐year  colleges   and   universities   to   continue   their   education  and  playing  careers.     Included  in   this   group   is   Kelly  Huey:  California  Scholar  Athlete  of  the  Year.    Chris   is  excited   to   begin  his   fourth  season  and  looks   forward  to  the  development  of  his  team,  both  academically  and  athletically.Contact  Chris  at:  415-­‐359-­‐6897  (Cell)650-­‐738-­‐4241  (Of4ice)  [email protected]

Charlee  UnderwoodAssistant  Women’s  Basketball  Coach  

Charlee  is  a  graduate  of  SF  International  High  School  and   received   a   basketball   scholarship   to   Cal   State  Fullerton  where   she   ranks   in   the   top   ten   in:   points,  Jield   goals,   3-­‐point   Jield   goals,   blocked   shots,  rebounds,  and  steals.    After  graduation,  Charlee  played  professionally   in   Europe.   Coach   Underwood  has   had  the  opportunity  to  coach  in  many  programs  including:  Stanford,   UCLA,   LMU,   and   Cal   State   Fullerton  Basketball   Camps,   Hooked   on   Hoops,   and   Celebrity  Basketball   Camps   for   Kobe   Bryant,   Luke  Walton   and  LeBron   James.     Charlle   has   also   coached   for   the   San  Jose  Cagers  and  Golden  City  SF  AAU  Basketball  Teams.

#1    Jessica  Pineda                  Sophomore  

Jessica  returns   for  her  sophomore  season  after  being  a  key  contributor  as  a  freshman.    Jessica  appeared  in  all  26  games  as   a   freshman   and   played   key   minutes   at   all   three   guard  spots.     Skyline   expects   Jessica   to   accept   a   bigger   role   this  season  as  a  team   leader   and  scorer.     Jessica  was   named  1st  Team  All  League  in  the  Peninsula  Athletic  League  and  Team  MVP  as  a  senior  at  Oceana.    Jessica  enjoys  hanging  out  with  friends  in  her  free  time.    

#2    Arianna  Sheehy                  Freshman  

Arianna  is  set  to  begin  her  freshman  season  at  Skyline  after  a   successful   high   school   career   at   Terra   Nova.     Arianna  helped   Terra   Nova   to   a   Peninsula   Athletic   League  championship   in   2012   and   was   named   Peninsula   Athletic  League  MVP  in  2015.    Arianna’s  athleticism  will  help  Skyline  spread  the  Jloor  on  offense  and  run  the  break   in  transition.    Arianna  enjoys  swimming  in  her  free  time.

#3    Stephanie  Allen                  Sophomore

Stephanie   will   begin   her   second   season   at   Skyline  attempting   to   build   on   a   successful   freshman   campaign.    Stephanie  was  named  First  Team  All  Coast  Conference  during  her   freshman   season   averaging   12.5   ppg   and   5   rpg.    Stephanie   made   the   Skyline   College   Dean’s   List   during   the  spring   semester.     Stephanie   also   participates   in   Skyline’s  mentorship   program,   which   facilitates   community   service  outreach   for   various   countries   and   people   in   need.

Marina  Aleman    #4Freshman

Marina   will   begin   her   freshman   season   at   Skyline   after  graduating   from  Capuchino  High  School   last   spring.    While  at  Capuchino,   Marian   played   volleyball   and  basketball.     Marina  played   an   instrumental   role   in   Capuchino’s   back-­‐to-­‐back  Central   Coast   Section   Playoff   appearances.     Skyline   expects  Marina’s   hustle  and  determination   to   become   a   staple   of   the  program.    Marina  loves  to  play  sports  when  she’s  not  with  the  team.

Mira  Avila    #10Freshman

Mira   started   her   high   school   career   at   Terra   Nova   before  transferring  to  South  San  Francisco  High  School  for  her  junior  and  senior   seasons.     While   at  Terra   Nova,   Mira   helped   her  team   to   a   league   championship   in   the   2012   season   and  earned   Honorable   Mention   All   Peninsula   Athletic   League  honors  for  South  San  Francisco  in  2014.    Mira’s  senior  season  was   cut   short  with   an   ACL   injury.     Skyline   expects   Mira   to  spread  the  Jloor  with  her  three-­‐point  shooting  ability.    Mira’s  hobbies  include  hanging  out  with  friends  and  shopping.

Victoria  Montague    #11Freshman

Victoria   returns   to   basketball   at   Skyline   this   year   after  missing   last   season  due   to   injury.    Victoria  graduated   from  Hillsdale  High  School  where  she  played  both  water  polo  and  basketball.     As   a   senior,   Victoria   helped   Hillsdale   to   the  Central   Coast   Section   semi-­‐Jinals.     Victoria   also   earned  Defensive   Player   of   the   Year   as   a   senior.     Skyline   expects  Victoria’s   intensity   and   perimeter   play   to   be   a  major   asset  this  season.    Victoria  enjoys  swimming  and  hanging  out  with  friends  in  her  free  time.

#12    Daniela  RecintoFreshman

Daniela   joins   Skyline   for   her   freshman   season   after   a   solid  career  at  Oceana  High   School.    While   at   Oceana,   Daniela  was  named   Team   Most   Valuable   Player,   Honorable   Mention   All  Peninsula  Athletic  League  and  Jinished  second  in  the  Peninsula  Athletic   League   for   three   pointers   made.     Daniela   was   also  named  Scholar  Athlete  of  the  Year  as  a  senior.    Skyline  expects  Daniela   to   play   multiple   guard   positions   and   add   some  perimeter   scoring.     Daniela’s   hobbies   include   watching  basketball  and  working.

#13    Aria  GallardoSophomore

Aria   begins   her  second  year   at   Skyline  College.     Aria   looks   to  build   off   a   freshman   season   that   saw   her   score   in   every  appearance  she  made  for  the  Trojans.    Aria  enjoyed  a  successful  career   at   San   Francisco   Waldorf.     While   at   SF   Waldorf,   Aria  earned   First   Team  All   League   four   consecutive   years.     In  her  senior  year,  Aria  helped  SF  Waldorf  to  a  second  place   Jinish  in  the  Bay  Counties  Central  Conference.    Skyline  expects  Aria  to  be  a  scorer  again  this  season.    When  Aria,  is  not  playing  basketball,  she  enjoys  sleeping  and  watching  TV.

#15    Victoria  LangiFreshmen

Victoria   begins   her   freshman   season   at   Skyline   after  graduating   from   Mercy   Burlingame   last   spring.     While   at  Mercy,   Victoria  was   named   First   Team  All   West   Bay   Athletic  League   while   guiding   her   team   to   the   Central   Coast   Section  playoffs.     Victoria’s   calm   demeanor   will   allow   for   a   smooth  transition   to   the   college   game.     Skyline   expects   Victoria   to  balance   handling   the   ball   as   well   as   providing   another  perimeter   scorer.     When   Victoria   is   not   with   the   team   she  enjoys  hanging  out  with  friends.

Alyssa  Dela  Cruz    #20Sophomore

Alyssa  returns  for  her  second  season  at  Skyline  after  a  strong  freshman  year.    As  a  freshman,  Alyssa  averaged  almost  10ppg.    Alyssa  graduated  from  Burton  High  School  where  she  helped  her   team   to   a   Jinal   four   Academic   Athletic   Association  appearance   as   a   senior   while   being   named   Honorable  Mention  All  League.     Skyline   looks   to   Alyssa   to   build  on   last  season   and  use  her  slashing   ability   to   be  a   scorer.     Alyssa’s  hobbies  include  working  and  listening  to  music

Noelani  Castillo    #21Freshman

Noelani  returns  to  action  this  year  after  missing  last  season  due  to  an  ACL  injury.    As  a  junior  at  El  Camino  High  School,  Noelani  helped  her  team  to  a  winning  record  and  an  appearance  in  the  Central  Coast  Section  playoffs.    Noelani  also  earned  Team  Most  Valuable  Player,  Captain’s  Award,  and  Team  Most  Inspirational  Player  during  her  high  school  career.    Skyline  looks  for  Noelani  to  adjust  to  the  college  game  and  become  a  consistent  contributor.    Noelani  enjoys  hanging  out  with  friends  when  she’s  not  playing  basketball.

Dana  Michaels    #22Sophomore

Dana  returns  to  basketball  for  her  sophomore  season  after  transferring  to  Skyline  College  from  Sonoma  State  University.    Dana  graduated  from  Burlingame  High  School  where  she  helped  guide  her  teams  to  both  Peninsula  Athletic  League  and  Central  Coast  Section  Championships.    Dana  was  also  named  First  Team  All  League  in  the  Peninsula  Athletic  League.    Skyline  looks  for  Dana  to  spread  the  defense  and  be  a  threat  from  beyond  the  three-­‐point  line.    Dana’s  hobbies  include  surJing  and  photography.

#33  Charme  Noordzee    Freshman

Charme   will   begin   her   Jirst   season   at   Skyline   College   after  graduating   from  George  Washington  High  School   last  spring.    While  at  Washington,  Charme  helped  her  team  to  back  to  back  Academic   Athletic   Association   semiJinal   appearances.    Charme   also   earned   Honorable   Mention   Academic   Athletic  Association  honors  as  a  senior.    Skyline  expects  Charme  to  be  a   low   post   threat   this   season.     When   she’s   not   playing  basketball,  Charme  listens  to  music,  naps  and  hangs  out  with  friends.

#41  Juliet  Courtney  Freshman

Juliet   will   begin   her   Jirst   year   at   Skyline   after   graduating  from   THS   last   spring.     As   a   freshman   at   Sacred   Heart  Cathedral,   Juliet   was   a   key   contributor   on   a   Central   Coast  Section  championship  team.     Juliet   has  a  high  basketball   IQ  and  her  understanding  of  the  game  will  help  become  a  key  player   for  Skyline  this   season.     Skyline  expects   Juliet   to   be  able   to   score   both   inside   and   outside   this   season.     Juliet  enjoys  listening  to  music  when  she’s  not  with  the  team.
