    Catalog CoversOne of my positions involved assembling a catalog for an auto partsseller. Most of the work was putting catalog content onto a template,but I got to do creative work for a few covers as well. I put together

    four styles for each manufacturer, which youll see in order on thenext few pages: One is a cleaner, atter version of 2013s style; oneuses two blended titles to form a gradient effect, immersing the titlein the space of the photo when possible; one adds a translucent backpanel and tilts the title to t the action of the photo; the last placesdifferent vehicles on the same backdrop and uses the title to get

    attention, along with a different form of organizing the informationon the back cover. With each style implemented for each brand, acohesive set was ready no matter which was chosen. The bottom ofeach front cover is reserved space for customer-specic information.

    UmberThis was an exercise in producing realistic mockups of a logo indifferent usages, both print and digital, for presentation to a client indemonstrating its versatility. For the exercise, I developed the name,logo and writing voice of a book publisher.

    Fausey FashionsThis logo was developed for an online clothing store. It emulates thesort of classic style and tasteful restraint the client is fond of, and isintended to look at home on a collar tag.

    Kelchner Fitness CenterMy rst client work involved developing a logo for a tness center,along with posters for each of their popular group activities, seenon the next few pages. Above is the approved logo, which conveysa gender-neutral sense of speed and athleticism, along with otherversions that were proposed.

    The poster for yoga suggests a sense of enlightened calm, as wellas referencing the activitys Indian origin. The smaller version wasthe proposed original, while the larger version is the nal approvedposter, which is less feminine as well as feeling calmer.

    Each poster in the project uses adifferent style to reect the feelof the depicted activity, whileremaining unied by a commonbottom bar. Some of the posters

    use humorous copy to get theviewers interest. If I could revisitthis project, I probably wouldhave made the bottom bar evenmore uniform, with a consistenttypeface and time format.

    This is an exercise in creatingthe psychedelic animal styleso common in concert posters.

    This is part of a poster-a-daypersonal project, and anhomage to the art deco style.

    Print AdsAnother position involved creating printads for newspapers in different regionsacross the country. Some of my better-

    executed concepts are on this page andthe next.

    Above is the result of being given closeto a dozen images with the challenge ofcreating a cohesive ad using all of them.Im pleased with the result I reached.

    To its right is an ad for an individualfranchise of a large chain, which led meto emulate the chains style. This gaveme the opportunity to research theirofficial style and act as if I were designingdirectly for them.

    Above is a high-qualityad produced for a smalllocal business. This is thetype of project that givesme the most satisfactionas a designer. Growing upin a small area, Ive seenmy share of low-budgetdesign, and I love beinggiven the opportunity toimprove upon it for a clientwho might not otherwisehave access to it.

    Above is one of many newspaper adsIve made that were produced to be runin grayscale. I wanted to make it as eye-catching as posssible given this limitation.
