Introduction to SkyJacks October 2016 Since 1978 SkyJacks has been supplying the construction, mining, warehousing, aviation, petro-chemical, building and maintenance industries with Temporary Suspended Platforms, Aerial Work Platforms (Cherry Pickers) and Aluminium Scaffolding. In January 2015 we joined the global rental equipment and industrial services group Waco International and have subsequently embarked on an aggressive expansion of our hire fleets. The SkyJacks team is made up of innovative and highly motivated people. Through our shared passion and commitment to providing innovative access solutions we continually strive to better our service delivery and product offering. As an industry expert with over three decades of experience we are committed to providing our customers with safe and cost effective working at height solutions.

Aerial Work Platforms

HIRE, SALES AND SERVICEAerial Work Platforms (AWP’s) are also known as cherry pickers or mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP’s) and play a significant role in the construction, mining, fire ventilation, mechanical, electrical, warehousing, maintenance and aircraft industries.

SkyJacks is a proud partner of Sky Climber® and since 1979 has been the sole distributor for Southern Africa of their world-renowned Alpha and Compact Hoists.SkyJacks has trained technicians and fully equipped workshops to undertake the inspection, repair and service of hoists and each machine is load tested and certified before use to ensure reliable and safe performance at all times.We are able to design and fabricate both steel and lightweight aluminium platforms to meet your specific requirements.

Having a well trained and knowledgeable workforce is critical when working at height. SkyJacks offers a number of training programs to meet your product, application and safety requirements.

DID YOU KNOW…? From August 2014, all users of suspended access equipment must be trained and certified in order to comply with the new Construction Regulations and that from January 2016 all users of Aerial Work Platforms are required to undergo SETA accredited competency training.We are committed to ensuring our staff and clients have access to accredited training to meet this legal obligation and offer a variety of training courses covering Telehandlers, Aerial Work Platforms (MEWP’s / Cherry Pickers) and Temporary Suspended Platforms (TSP’s).
