What SKIP does

• Education: Primary, Secondary, and English Program
• Family Welfare: Social work & Psychology
• Economic Development: Micro-credit program & Production Workshops
Summer Internship
• Where: Trujillo, Peru• Dates: May 14th – June 12th
• No. Internship spots: 6• Positions available: IT, Economic
Development, English Teacher, Art/Sport Teacher
• Housing: Volunteer house or with host family
• Application process: Written application & interview
Costs
• Contribution fee (housing & administration, not including flights): 1600 soles ≈$570
• Flights (approximate round trip) from Philly to Lima: $800• Living Costs: Around $250 (Meals cost around $2)
Internship Positions
IT (1-2 interns) • Improvement of SKIP service user
database• Website design improvement and
maintenance• Knowledge about salesforce
databases a plus!
Economic Development (1 intern)• Planning logistical aspects of
production workshops• Working with mothers of
workshop• Identifying new opportunities to
commercialize products• Intermediate level of Spanish
preferable
English Teacher (1-2 interns)• Teaching at SKIP center or local
public schools• Support and training to plan
lessons provided
Sports/Art Teacher (1-2 interns)• Encourage students to find voice &
express feelings through mediums• Basic levels of sports/art• Lots of personal interaction with
students
