Louisville, Kentucky Airport.

While in airports and during our layovers it is important to stay together as a

NEVER walk alone. Most airports have Wi-Fi and we would encourage bringing

reading material or a music player. Items purchased in airport gift shops and

restaurants are usually very expensive.

Acceptable IDs

Identity MattersAdult passengers 18 and over must show valid identification at the airport checkpoint in order to travel.

We understand passengers occasionally arrive at the airport without an ID, because of losing it orinadvertently leaving it at home. If this happens to you, it does not necessarily mean you won't beallowed to fly. If you are willing to provide additional information, we have other ways to confirm youridentity, like using publicly available databases, so you can reach your flight.

If we clear you through this process, we may give you additional screening. If we can’t verify youridentity, you may not be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint or to board a plane.

Acceptable IDs for screening purposes include:

U.S. passportU.S. passport cardDHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)U.S. military ID (active duty or retired military and their dependents, and DoD civilians)Permanent resident cardBorder crossing cardDHS-designated enhanced driver's licenseDriver's licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (orequivalent) for the sole purpose of identificationFederally recognized, tribal-issued photo IDHSPD-12 PIV cardAirline or airport-issued ID (if issued under a TSA-approved security plan)Foreign government-issued passportCanadian provincial driver's license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canada cardTransportation Worker Identification Credential

Note: a weapon permit is not an acceptable form of identification.

Page 8: SkillsUSA Kentucky Trip...1 SkillsUSA Kentucky Trip Congratulations! You will soon be off to the SkillsUSA National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Please share this information

http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/3-1-1-liquids-rule

3-1-1 Liquids Rule You are allowed to bring one small bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes through thecheckpoint. These are limited to 3.4 ounces or less per container. Consolidating these containers in thesmall bag separate from your carry-on baggage enables TSA officers to screen them quickly.

3-1-1 for carry-ons. Liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less percontainer; must be in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screeningbin. The bag limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring.

Be prepared. Each time a TSA officer stops to physically screen a carry-on bag, it slows down the line.Practicing the 3-1-1 rule will facilitate the checkpoint experience.

Declare larger liquids. Medications [1], baby formula/food and breast milk [2] are allowed inreasonable quantities exceeding three ounces, and they don’t have to be in the zip-top bag. Declarethese items for inspection at the checkpoint. TSA officers may need to open them for additionalscreening.

If in doubt, put your liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes in checked baggage.

Inbound international flights

You may now carry liquids more than 100 mL in your carry-on bag if:

You are traveling internationally into the United States with a connecting flight;they are in transparent containers;you bought them at a duty-free shop, andthe store packed them in a secure, tamper-evident bag [3].

If your liquids are not in a secure, tamper-evident bag, you must pack them in your checked bag.

If the liquids alarm during screening, we will need to screen them further.

Prohibited Items

[1]

[2] Notify me when there are updates to this page! [2]

For the safety and security of the traveling public, TSA, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and/orairlines have prohibited certain items from being brought onto airplanes in carry-on and/or checkedbags. To help you plan ahead and avoid the potential of additional screening, be sure to check out theprohibited items list below and pack accordingly.

When I Fly,Can I Bring My...? Enter Item Name through the security checkpoint?

As an added information source for passengers, you can also use the "Can I Bring…?" tool from the MyTSA iPhone and mobile app to get information on an item you want to bring on a plane. Simply type thename of the item in the box and you'll get information on whether or not it's prohibited and otherinformation to help you speed through security. You can also access the tool from your mobile device ifit has a web browser.

It’s important to know that even if an item is generally permitted, it may be subject to additionalscreening or not allowed through the checkpoint if it triggers an alarm during the screening process, appears to have been tampered with, or poses other security concerns. The final decision rests with TSAon whether to allow any items on the plane. Also, please note that some dangerous items below areillegal in certain states and passengers will be subject to state law. It is a passenger’s responsibility tobe aware that origination and destination cities may have local laws prohibiting the possession of theseitems.
