Front Cover
Lead Image I achieved this effect on my lead image by adjusting the contrast and brightness of individual parts of the image such as the red of the lips and the white of her eyes.
1)‘select’ then ‘colour range’ then select the colour you want to edit.
2) ‘Layer’ then ‘brightness and contrast’
3) Then adjust the brightness contrast as much as you want.
Masthead
1) Make sure you are on the magic wand tool
Insert the image that you want to fill the text with over the top of the text
Select the parts of the text that you want to fill in with the magic wand tool eg. The circles
Masthead Go to ‘select’ the ‘inverse’ so that you can delete the background and not the effect inside the text.
go back onto the picture layer and delete.
Then I was finished with the text
Then I went to ‘fx’ in the bottom right hand corner and was able to add effects such as shadows to my masthead
Cover lines and lead line
Insert the text onto the cover eg. ‘on tour with olly murs’
Double Page Spread
Outer glow and stroke on my pull quotes
Go to ‘fx’ the outer glow and adjust the outer glow to fit your preference
For the stroke go to ‘fx’ then stoke and again edit the stoke on the text to suit your preference
Brightness and contrast on the lead image
Go to image, adjustments and then edit the brightness and contrast of the image
Edit the brightness and contrast as you like

I started with the glitter background that i wanted to use and edited the font onto it.
Then I used the outer glow tool to add the effect to my text that I was using for my title.
I used the rectangle tool to add in the backgrounds that I wanted to use for my features and regulars
I used the text box and the different fonts available to create the font on my editors note
Go to Font then pick what font to use on your text. Then edit the text by using outer glow and strokes.
