Wireless Traffic Engineer Big Spring, TXResponsibilities Responsible for RF capacity planning and traffic engineering for the region. The Engineer IV will perform capacity forecasting and planning for the RF and backhaul elements and will also work closely with other departments such as switch and data engineering dependent upon forecasting outputs. The traffic engineer will also work with project implementation driving and prioritizing capacity augmentation projects. The engineer will either develop or use complex tools for monitoring the network and will perform complex analysis of system data as related to capacity management. Manages multiple projects at a time. -Monitor utilization on RF air interface and backhaul at both a trended and daily level. This position is responsible for the proper operation of a large group of Network Elements. Duties in support of interdepartmental objectives, to include preventative and remedial maintenance, installation, optimization, building and ground upkeep, and integration of network hardware and interconnect facilities. Other responsibilities include maintaining and repairing all base station equipment and transmitters; maintaining site and test equipment inventories; testing and analyzing network coverage to ensure contiguous communication and network integrity and quality; updating daily logs with site-specific information; composing clear and concise reports for system documentation; and performing audits as required by local, regional, Area, Corporate or Regulatory agencies. The Technician - Cells is expected to be able to perform his duties with little supervision, and participate in cross-functional projects as scheduled.
