DONALDA AG SOCIETY

As we head into fall, we would like to wish all the farmers a safe and prosperous harvest. Summer has been busy for us with

building and grounds maintenance and improvements. August saw the exterior of the hall and the stage area painted. The Willow Canyon access road has been resurfaced, culverts replaced, ditches widened, and gravel added. Keep an eye out on the progress of the

hall as it undergoes a face lift as well. Our first annual Donalda Light Horse Show was a huge success with about 40 horses com-peting in classes all day. A great big THANK YOU goes out to our

summer students Jonny Dahl and Brayden Hofer for all their hard work this summer. As well as to the volunteers (Byron, Ray, and

Beth) who have spent countless hours working at the hall giving it a facelift. Congratulations to Rae Anna & BJ Normand on the

birth of their daughters Klara & Eva. BJ has resigned his director’s position and position of secretary, in order to spend more time with his new family. Congratulations also to Tristan Hesp and Sharmaine Andres on their upcoming nuptials, being held at Donalda Hall. Fall Supper will be held in October, date to be

announced. Upcoming dates: September 8-10: Wild Pink Yonder

Breast Cancer fundraiser ride September 9: Bashaw 4-H Light Horse Show in Donalda

September 29-30: Willy Bronze Poker Rally Our next regular meeting is Tuesday, September 11 at 7:30pm

at the Arena Lobby. New members are always welcome and directors are needed.

DID YOU KNOW…The community hall was

originally built in the 1950s with the addition

being added in 1982. It is now owned by the

village and operated by the Ag Society. ALL

maintenance, repairs and improvements

Society and the grants it accesses.
