Design's are Free Standing Lace when done as directedI used 2 layers of Vilene,

number 12 schmetz universal needle,40 weight Madeira Rayon thread on top and a fine bobbin thread.

I rinsed the vilene out holding each ornament under warm water a few seconds only, Not tested with any other stabilizer

Cut around the snowflake/coverand rinse under warm water.

takes only a couple seconds todissolve

Lay on towel and pat excess waterout

Pin the snowflake right side downto styrofoam, be gentle.

and pin your covers to StyrofoamballsI used the 3 inch size as that is thesize my glass bulbs are

to assemble the 3 D sew 2 partstogether loosely with a zigzag.6 parts needed for one 3Dsnowflake, so you will have 3parts to glue togetherI ran a bead of Aleen's Glue downthe center of the sewn togetherpieces (any fabric Glue WIll do)let sit till tacky, at 60 degreeangles glue the 3 sectionstogether. you can also forget the sewing and just glue the parts together at60 degree angle. both ways work fine
