•Approx. 6500 sq. feet dedicated to a custom-designed, poured concrete skate park
•Approx. 4000sq. feet dedicated to an outdoor basketball court

constructed in the footprint of the presently under-utilized fourth tennis court at the JMMS complex.
•The existing tennis complex, consisting of three (3) tennis courts , will be retained and updated to match the character of the new skate park/basketball court complex.
•Lighting will be retained and enhanced for security and safety.

•The Mayor’s Office through the State of Connecticut

•The Mayor s Office, through the State of Connecticut LOCIP program, has secured $200,000 dollars to complete the proposed skate park/recreation upgrades.
•The $200,000 dollar grant requires no supplemental Town contribution or borrowing.
•The $200,000 dollar grant is already authorized, allowing the Town to proceed with construction in the Spring of 2017.
