THE SJV GLOW RUN FUN RUN FUNDRAISER IS COMING!

**Please note that our Boosterthon FUN RUN has been rescheduled.

The NEW date is 9/29. This is an awesome and FUN fundraiser! Students have a wonderful time participating! It is also a chance for

our kids to release some post Hurricane Irma energy! **

SJV Wednesday Mass Visit

SJV celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Chrysostom on Wednesday.

Mary Alice began Mass by reading about him. "People who stand up for what is

right and condemn what is evil leave their mark on the world”. These words are

especially profound considering our special guest after mass.

Kissimmee Police Chief Jeff O'Dell insisted on coming to personally thank the students after he was told that SJV raised funds for his fallen officers.

Sgt. Sam Howard and Ofc. Matthew Baxter stood up for what was right and condemned evil. They certainly left their mark on the world. May they Rest In

Peace.

Thank you families of SJV, as we raised $1,225 for the officers' families.

Hello Shoppers! Do you need to purchase a gift card for a family member,

coworker, or friend? We still have a small inventory of Scrip program gift cards

available at face value! There is no additional fee for buying the cards through this

program. It is just like buying the gift cards directly from the retailer, but the

benefit to buying them through the school is that SJV receives a rebate money for

all cards purchased!! It is an easy way to earn $$ for our school!!

This is what’s currently in stock: $25 Darden cards

$25 Dicks sporting goods $25 Target $25 Wawa $25 Whole Foods $25 Texas Roadhouse $25 Regal cinemas $25 American Girl $10 Wendys $10 Barnes & Noble $10 Dunkin donuts $10 Starbucks

If you would like to purchase any of the cards, please send Cheryl Kennedy an email at [email protected] or fill out the form below. We accept payment either by cash or check which you can send to the school with your child via an envelop marked "Scrip".

Check out www.shopwithscrip.com website and if there is a particular card you want, just let Cheryl know! She will also be happy to answer any questions you have about this program.

Welcome back SJV Parents! First, we would like to welcome all New and Returning Parents/Children. We look forward to having another wonderful year with you. SJV will continue to participate in the Box Tops for Education program. This year we have two coordinators that will be working the program for the school. Please welcome Cassandra Hoffman and Rosemarie Fountain. Rosemarie was our wonderful coordinator last year and will continue to participate this year. Cassandra will be taking on a coordinator position and the PTO Fundraising Chair. We are working on putting together a fun contest this year to get more Parents/Children involved with Box Tops. Our goal for the 2017-2018 school year is $2,200. For more information on the Box Tops for Education program, including a list of participating products and our school’s progress, visit www.BTGE.com. Be sure to become a member to receive exclusive coupons and learn about extra ways for our school to earn money. Contests will consist of a Monthly Collection and a Yearly Collection. The Monthly Contest will go as follows: Each month the class that brings in the most Box Tops will win a treat (Yes, the whole class will get the treat.) Each month it could be a different class as the Box Tops coming in will always change from class to class. The Yearly Contest will go as follows: The class that brings the most amount of Box Tops for the school year will win an Ice Cream Party. If we exceed our goal of $2200 we will add something else special to the party. The winning class Teacher will also win a surprise. We will be posting in the weekly email about Box Tops for education submission dates for the Monthly Contest as a reminder and our Progress through the year, so be sure to check for the weekly email that goes out. Imagine what ONE CHILD could do…. Imagine what ONE SCHOOL

could do….

1 Box Top per Month x 10 Months = $1.00 $1.00 x 500 Students = $500.00

5 Box Tops per Month x 10 Months = $5.00 $5.00 x 500 Students = $2500.00

10 Box Tops per Month x 10 Months = $10.00 $10.00 x 500 Students = $5000.00

*This is not the exact number of months or students. This is just an example to show you

how much we can make.

If you have any questions please contact our school’s coordinators. Thank You for your Support!
