Get the perfect fit! While there’s no substitute for actually trying on a garment in our showroom to make sure it’s just right, using the measurement guidelines on this page will help you work out your size accurately. Do it carefully and you’ll have great results. Then find the Size Chart on the following pages that matches the BRAND of apparel you plan to buy—because not all companies size their clothing the same way.

To begin with, get a cloth tape measure and find out exactly how you measure up!

SIZE MATTERS

Outseam:For BMW garments, measure on the outside of the leg from the waistband to the sole of the foot (the floor). With Revit, garments, measure to the top of the ankle bone.

F Inseam:This is measured on the inside of the leg from the crotch to the sole of the foot (floor) for BMW. And for Revit – to the top of the ankle bone.

Waist :Measure around the shirt just above the top of your pants. Stand in a relaxed and natural position, and do not hold in your stomach - that way you’ll ensure the pants sit comfortably.

D Hips:Measure the distance around the body over the hips and the fullest part of the backside.

Height :Stand barefoot with your back to a door frame. Place a book on your head and use it to make a mark on the door frame. Measure the height from the floor to this mark.

B Chest :Take the measurement while wearing a shirt or lightweight pullover. Pass the tape measure under your arms, an take the measurement around the broadest part of the chest and over the shoulder blades.

The BEST way to assure you get the right helmet size is to be properly fitted in our store with the able assistance of one of Bob's staff. If that's not possible, CALL Bob's and speak to one of our trained Rider Apparel Specialists. While helmet sizing on the phone is slightly more complicated than fitting jackets, pants, boots and other apparel — which we do successfully over the phone all the time — we've had great results with it. We get our customers into a helmet that fits right on the first try almost every time!

But BEFORE you call us, please read the following helpful hints for choosing a properly fitted helmet.

Correct helmet fit depends not only on size, but SHAPE. Different brands and models of helmets have different shell shapes. People have different head shapes too, some more round, some more oval. Do you know your head shape?If your head shape does not match the helmet's shell shape there will be either pressure points or gaps, both of which create discomfort and compromise safety.A helmet is too small when it causes discomfort – almost like an immediate headache. A helmet is too big if it moves freely around your head.A properly fitting helmet hugs your head with uniform pressure all the way around. It should feel evenly snug on your forehead and around your cheeks. If you were to look in a mirror, grab the chin bar and gently move the helmet around, you’d see the skin on your face move WITH the helmet. Expect that a brand new, properly fitting helmet will, at first, be a little difficult to put on and feel almost too tight. But remember, it needs to break in. The padded materials inside will compress a bit over time making it much easier to put on and remove. A helmet that feels too comfy when it's brand new will probably end up being too loose after it's broken in – and potentially dangerous!

A helmet that is too old (more than 5 years) is potentially unsafe!A helmet that has been dropped or damaged in an accident is potentially unsafe!
