AMAZING GRACE RACE V The dates for the race are June 1 through June 29. This year the race will only be 4 weeks long, so more families may be able to finish! Race at your own pace. Your family may choose to participate in only one week of the race, or join us for the fun in all 4 weeks. SUMMER BELLS FOR CHILDREN St. Mary Children’s Bell Classes for the summer will begin Tuesday, June 3, from 4:15 to 4:45 PM in Church. All children who will be in 2nd grade or older are welcome. VACATION BIBLE CAMP St. Mary Vacation Bible Camp for children Pre-K thru 5th grade, is scheduled for July 7-11, 9:00 AM till NOON. CCD SUNDAY PROGRAM Due to the low registration numbers for the Sunday Elementary CCD program, we are considering going to a one day elementary program on Tuesdays. If you have not yet registered for elementary religious education classes, please send in your registration form now, so that we may better be able to determine if the Sunday program will have to be closed. COMMUNITY SERVICE Help! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Volunteers are needed to visit St. Mary Parishioners in assisted living and nursing homes. Each volunteer will have one parishioner to visit monthly or more often if possible. For more information, contact Loraine Allain at 981-5370. HURRICANE SEASON A special “Prayer Service at the Start of Hurricane Season” will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 6:30 pm, at Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Lafayette. All are invited to attend this evening of prayer sponsored by the Cathedral and supported by the Central Region. Rev. Chester Arceneaux, Rector of the Cathedral, will lead the non-Eucharistic Prayer Service and give the homily. The “Prayer Service at the Start of Hurricane Season”, along with services being held in the West, North, and South Regions, is open to all and provides an area-wide opportunity for prayer and awareness at the start of Hurricane Season, which begins June 1, and continues through November 30. HURRICANE EVACUATION PLANS If you have any elderly or infirmed neighbors who may need your help with hurricane preparations or evacuation plans, please talk to them about it ahead of time.
