LITURGY There will be NO 5:00 PM Mass this Sunday, May 25, Memorial Day Weekend. VOLUNTEERS St. Mary Parishioners wanting to volunteer to become Lectors, Altar Servers or Eucharistic Ministers, are asked to complete a volunteer form, found in the Vestibule of the Church, and submit them to the Church Office. You may volunteer at any time during the year. FLOWER MEMORIALS AND CONTRIBUTIONS Do you wish to remember a deceased loved one or celebrate an event with flowers in the church? The Altar Society Décor Committee accepts contributions for small or large flower arrangements as follows: St. Mary Chapel - $20.00 Vestibule - $40.00 Sanctuary - $60.00 - $150.00 (No flowers are used during Lent) For more information or to schedule a memorial, call the church office at 981-3379, during regular business hours. ROSARY & NOVENA The rosary is recited at St. Mary every Friday morning before the 7:00 AM Mass. Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary is recited on Thursdays after the 7:00 AM Mass. TRAVELING CATHOLICS It can be a challenge for traveling Catholics to find Masses in unfamiliar areas. There are several resources available to help Catholics find a home away from home anywhere in the world. Also, many churches have their own websites. BAPTISMAL SEMINAR ST. MARY BAPTISMAL SEMINAR Our next Baptismal Seminar will be Saturday, May 31, 10:00 AM, in the school. A GRADUATE’S PRAYER Lord, I have knowledge, so will You show me now, how to use it wisely and find a way somehow to make the world I live in a little better place and make life with its problems a little bit easier to face. Grant me faith and courage and put purpose in my days, and show me how to serve You in effective ways, so my education, my knowledge and my skill may find their true fulfillment as I learn to do your will. And may I ever be aware in everything I do that knowledge comes from learning and wisdom comes from You. Amen. Congratulations to our 2014 Graduates!

ACTIVITIES FOR FAMILY AND CHILDREN

CCD SUNDAY PROGRAM Due to the low registration numbers for the Sunday Elementary CCD program, we are considering going to a one day elementary program on Tuesdays. If you have not yet registered for elementary religious education classes, please send in your registration form now, so that we may better be able to determine if the Sunday program will have to be closed. Please mail your registration to Cynthia Guidry, 419 Doucet Road, Lafayette 70503, or drop off your registration at the church office. An update will be in the bulletin.
