We Seek Renewal in God’s Presence

*Call to Confession If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. So let us be honest and confess what separates us from God and our neighbors, trusting in God’s constant desire to forgive and renew.

*Prayer of Confession Merciful Lord, we pause to confess that too often we listen to the advice of the ungodly. We know better, but for some reason, we listen anyway. Forgive us. The lure of a quick fix, easy money, or pleasure turned our heads away from you, Lord. Forgive us. We knew it was wrong as soon as we did it, but pride kept us from backing out of our decision. Forgive us. Teach us the joy of being righteous. Show us how to delight in being holy. Remind us that new life in Christ means new thoughts, new ways, new decisions. Forgive us for failing to trust you in all things. Amen.

*Declaration of Forgiveness

Because Christ as been raised from the dead, sin and death do not have the last word! Our faith is not in vain! Baptized into Christ’s death and resurrection, we are forgiven and set free to live for God and neighbor. Thanks be to God.

*The Peace | time of greeting

The peace of Christ be with you always. And also with you.

Announcements Welcome! We are happy to have you here with us today. If you would like more information about St. Andrew, please indicate your interest on the Connection Card. Join us for a time of fellowship and refreshments after the

service. This is a wonderful way to meet the St. Andrew family.

Prayer: If you desire a personal time of prayer, we’re here to pray with you and for you. Please join a prayer partner at the Prayer Room at the back of the Sanctuary immediately following the worship service.

All ages are welcomed in our worship services. Worship materials for children and adults, including large print hymnals, bibles, and bulletins are available on the shelves outside the north sanctuary doors. A T-Coil hearing

assist loop is also available for those with this feature on their hearing aids.

If needed, infant and toddler care (up to age 2) is provided downstairs in the Nursery. Children’s Time, for ages 3

years through Kindergarten, is also downstairs.

Prayer Requests may be written on a blue Prayer Request Card and placed in the offering plate.

QR Coding for Giving: The QR code in the Sunday bulletin is an electronic code that links to the giving page on our church website. In worship, we respond to God’s love with our offering. We hope that people who like

technology will use these prompts to connect their gifts to our worship.

Connection Cards are one way we can extend welcome and hospitality to our guests while also helping us consider steps we can take in the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. We ask each person to fill out the card and place it in the offering plate. Members, once your contact information is correct, you only need to write your name.

For further contemplation…

How were you jarred out of your faithful complacency by the words of Jesus in Luke 6:20-26?

How is the God Jesus is speaking of different from the God we proclaim?

If an individual or a congregation is not helping the poor, how well have they listened to Jesus? Are they in

bondage to their wealth or their own survival?

The flowers in the Sanctuary today are given by the Dierks in celebration of 40 years of being part of St. Andrew.

Want to Be a Lenten Pray-er?

Consider making a commitment NOW to be a "pray-er" during Lent. Here's how it will work: Congregation members are divided so that each "pray-er" will have a list of 3-6 persons/families to pray for each week. By the end of week six every member will have been touched through our prayers. Contact Kerri Goers for more information at [email protected] or sign-up in

the Atrium!

Flower Ministry Needs You!

There’s an opportunity for you to beautify the Sanctuary during worship and to help keep our flower ministry tradition going. We have a sign-up sheet in the Atrium, and there are lots of Sundays available right now for you to donate a bouquet. Once you sign up, someone from the Interiors Team will contact you with

instructions.

Pie for a Pint Blood Drive is Back! Be Aware, Be Very Aware

Since email addresses of church staff are public knowledge, please be cautious when receiving emails from staff, and especially from John Benson in the finance area,

as there have been attempts by fraudsters to "impersonate" John in emails to others (plus, he has received emails purportedly from other staff members), in attempts to take money from the church or its members. Please know that you can always call the church (John's most reliable full day to be here is Tuesdays), to double-check with him or other staff members about any communications you have

received from staff.
