The ITN action will be implemented through support to competitively selected research training programmes executed by partnerships of universities, research institutions, businesses, SMEs and other socio-economic actors, located in Member States, associated countries and other third countries. Successful partnerships will take the form of research training networks, industrial doctorates or joint doctorates.
ITN will promote high-quality training of early-stage researchers and doctoral candidates. This training will provide researchers of any nationality with a diversity of skills that will allow them to benefit from enhanced career perspectives in both public and private sectors.
The training programmes will address the development and broadening of core research competences, while equipping researchers with a creative mind, an entrepreneurial outlook and innovation skills that will match the future needs of the labour market. The programmes will also provide training in transferable competences such as team-work, risk-taking, project management, entrepreneurship, ethics, IPR, etc.
