KingEd’s Sixth Form

The Masthead is white and stands out against the

dark background. It is also on a slant creating

a fun and edgy feel. The image

shows smiling

students, suggesting

they are happy which

can encourage

new students.

Teal font against a green and

pale background

in some places

appears difficult to read. More care could have been

taken.

Clear font colour and size

against cool blue

background.

Studies suggest

people are more

productive in blue

surroundings which could reflect the

productivity of the school.

indication of which

with a page number.

Stoke Newington Sixth Form (Spotlight)

Very simplistic

layout:The image

appears to be scientific as it

shows contents under a

microscope. This reflects

that the school is

academic and may be a

good choice for people

inspiring to involve

themselves in a science degree.

The Masthead is yellow and stands out. The colour

yellow is full of creative

and intellectual energy and symbolizes

wisdom which

reflects the qualities of the school.

Clear and informative

layoutIncludes letter

from head teacher which

mentions qualities and achievements of the school which is good

in encouraging new students (and also in encouraging

adults/ parents to send their

children there.

(addresses them

directly)

Wide range of

sophisticated topics

which would appeal to

lots of different

audiences.

Informative as it tells you about the front cover

and who the editor is; both

students (shows students

involvement with the school). Image of head

teacher gives the reader an idea of

who they are talking to/ reading

about and therefore makes

the situation more personal. She is

also smiling which may enable the

reader to feel more comfortable and

welcomed.

Suffolk One Sixth Form (One)Simple
