are Friday 27th August to Sunday 29th August and the cost will remain the same as two years ago. It is important that we get accurate numbers for catering and the activities. Please don’t leave it until the last minute. We are in contact with the camp site to see what is possible in terms of their new regulations, so it may be that some activities will not be available but we will give details in the next couple of weeks when we receive notification from the Scout Association. The Walking Club is now back and meeting this Sunday again at 3pm on the car park. All welcome! The Community Lunch will now be held on Monday 2nd August. Details overleaf. Thanks to all of the organisers. We said goodbye to Jithin and he was grateful for the phones handed. in We can still receive phones which can be kept until his next visit. You can drop these off in Church or at the Presbytery in the box provided. We are now helping the Air Ambulance Charity by having a clothes collection point on the car park to the left of the Parish Centre. Please read the instructions to see what you can put into the large green bin. I am sure we were proud of the England team and saddened by the reaction of some people towards them. As the Olympics begin in Tokyo, we congratulate one of our parishioners, Siobhan Fitzpatrick who is going to the Olympics representing GB in the Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team. We wish her every success and safe journey. Also, Arron Bowen has been training with the Olympic Boxing Squad with a view to competing in the next Olympic Games. Enjoy the good weather while it lasts! God bless
This week we pray for those recently deceased William Kane, Annie Healion, Kim Beech,
Rory Ryan, Eamon Cunningham and Patrick Dowling May they rest in peace

Dear Parishioners This week will see some changes to the Covid regulations. We are not totally sure how these will affect the protocol in Church and we will have more details in the week and let you know next weekend. For the moment we will continue our cautions, other than the track and trace from Monday morning. We will continue to encourage the use of masks and the use of sanitiser as we enter Church and the cleaning of the benches after Mass. Next weekend, we may make some gradual changes according to the advice we receive. Thanks for your continued help and support. Please continue to do all you can to help prevent the spread of the virus. I think all of us have become a little too relaxed about it and need to be mindful of the advice given, which is still so important. For Sunday Masses at Christ the King we will still have the Library available as an overflow. We will continue to look for volunteers to help with reading for the moment and will start the formal rotas for readers, eucharistic ministers and other jobs in the Church in September once people are back to a normal routine after the summer. We will be looking for lots of new people to be involved as well. You have been warned! At the 12 noon Mass on Sunday, we will celebrate the First Holy Communions of Megan Boyce and James Kiernan, who missed out on Communions a couple of weeks ago. We will make sure it is a special day for them and their families. The schools are now preparing to break up for the summer and we will be having leaving events and masses in a limited way. I am sure the children will still leave with very happy memories and we thank all the staff at the parish schools for their incredible hard work and wish them a really good summer break. We are now in a position to take bookings for the Family Camp. The dates

CHILDREN’S EDUCATION IN INDIA Jithin is collecting second hand smart phones and chargers to help with children’s education in
India. Children’s classes are taking place virtually and they need access to such devices to help them with their classes. If you have
a spare working smart phone that you no longer need, please drop it in either at the Presbytery or the box at the back of the Church.
Make an Act of Spiritual Communion This can be done whilst you watch a live stream of Mass being offered by saying the following prayer: “My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.” Sacrament of Reconciliation The Bishops have asked that all should make a Perfect Act of Contrition. Perfect contrition (or a Contrition of Charity) is true and real sorrow for our sins which is created when we realise the immense love of God for each one of us. We express this contrition when we realise how we offend God by our sinful words, deeds and omissions in contrast to the immeasurable love and mercy that He continually shows us. This requires us to be contrite of heart for what we have done, know and be overwhelmed by the love and mercy of God for His children, and to approach this grace with humility and resolution not to sin again. An Act of Contrition My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Saviour Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, have mercy.
Rest In Peace

These mass times have been agreed by the Deanery as we begin to open up churches for public
worship in accordance with Government and Church Guidelines.
You are encouraged to make use of webcam masses if this is still the best option for you. To consider
the masses during the week as there is no Sunday obligation and these masses are likely to be less
crowded. Perhaps, only think of coming to mass on Sunday if there is no other option.
The parishes will review mass times and frequency of masses over the next couple of weeks when we
have a chance to judge the numbers required moving forward.
Thanks for your co-operation. We are pleased that we can begin to come to church, but our safety
and the safety of others is still paramount and we hope that Priests, individuals and parish
communities do not feel under pressure to open churches in a way that puts people at risk.
