2013 ANNUAL REPORT 1

There is a lot ofenthusiasm in thisorganization goingforward. We hadstanding roomonly at our BoardPlanning Retreat

in January and I’m pleased toreport that we have 24 new boardmembers who will bring uniqueexpertise and a fresh perspectiveon everything we do. I thankthem, and our Board membersfrom 2012, for their commitmentto serve. The Chamber has three major

missions in 2013:First, deliver service to our

members, which will allow us tobroaden our base and grow. Wewill be making a membershippush this year to get new mem-bers and better serve those whoare already members. We will

work to create long-lasting valuefor our members, including oppor-tunities for education, trainingand development. We understandthe need to attract young leadersand entrepreneurs to our parishand will work hard to do so. Second, we want to promote and

nourish a pro-business attitudeamong our members, the commu-nity and government. We want youto view the Chamber as the voiceof business in Jefferson Parish. Wecan assist local business and localgovernment as they deal withissues that impair business. And third, we will stay at the

forefront of public policy and fightfor the businesses who alone, feelthey don’t have a voice. We havethe independence and relation-ships to aggressively push for pro-business legislation at the local, state and federal levels. We look

forward to working with our leg-islative leaders in 2013 to ensurethe laws passed help grow oureconomy and our parish. We havebeen able to do this in the pastand are in a better position to do itagain in the near future. Our value to the business com-

munity will not be in makingpromises, but in delivering onpromises. I will work with ourBoard to ensure we vigilantly fol-low through to keep us on path toreach our goal, which is toimprove businesses and the qual-ity of life in Jefferson Parish. Thank you for the honor and

privilege of allowing me to servethis chamber as its chairman.

Sincerely,Johnny DomianoPartner, Adams and Reese2013 Jefferson Chamber Chairman
