School visit – Hamilton West primary school, Fow Street Hamilton (just behind the hospital) Principal - Mark Penman
Leave Auckland by mini bus by 7.30am.Arrive Hamilton West School approx 9.00am. School tour and presentation/discussion led by Mark around:
1.Property: the power of improving the school environment2.Student Voice: shifting the focus back to the learner3.Dialogue: an approach to improving relationships4.Inquiry Learning: using Island Bay School as a mentor school5.Mentoring: internal mentoring to build teacher capability6.Sustainability: including well-being of students and staff, the introduction of a Student Support Worker
Sitech NZ – showroom , (Frankton) training room
11.30-1.00pm Robotics presentation at the Sitech showroom – Jenny Barrett Breathe Technology trainer
New Sitech products introduced – ie portable scienec lab and latest products
Lunch – we retiure to Gary’s hacienda to his fabulous and beautiful park-like garden to wined (or otherwise beveraged!) and dined
Chef Gazza BBQ’ing lunch for us
Simply stunning grounds (and equally stunning collegiality/conviviality)

to Sitech NZ showroom for Robotics workshop• Retire to Garry’s garden• Return to Auckand (via the Muddy Waters
Tavern - to avoid peak hour traffic!!). Arrive approx 6.30pm
