Our heritage and evolution (history)
SITA is founded by a consortium of 11 Airlines in 1949
The aim to combine their communication networks and to take advantage of a shared-infrastructure cost efficiency.
1950 SITA opens its first telecommunications centre in Rome connecting airports in Paris, Nice, and Frankfurt.
Creators of Equant (now Orange Business Services) extending the offer for communication services outside the Airline IndustrySITA Rome
