ACCESSIBILITY

Many service buses have low-level access and ramps for easy boarding.

The North York Moors Na�onal Park Authority has developed a number of fully

accessible routes for heavy duty wheelchairs and pushchairs through woodland,

along riversides, by lakes, overlooking the Heritage Coast, through the heart of the

moorland and around important archaeological sites. You can also hire a Tramper, an

electric all-terrain mobility scooter, for use from SuHon Bank Na�onal Park Centre

and Ravenscar Visitor Centre. The Centres have further details or you can find

Pick up a copy of the Na�onal Park’s ‘Out and About’ magazine in a Na�onal Park

Centre for details on places to go, things to do and events.

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has designated spaces available for wheelchair

users. Of the five sta�ons along its eighteen-mile route, four of them are easily

accessible to wheelchair users and mobility impaired persons. The only sta�on

without disabled access is Newtondale Halt.

Where possible, please advise the railway in advance of your visit so that staff can be

on hand to assist boarding. T: 01751 472508 to advise or to discuss your par�cular

access needs.
