The Dunn Chapter No. 59 helda regular meeting March 10 in theMasonic Temple. The Worthy Ma-tron, Mrs. Inez Strickland, openedthe meeting regular form. Theflags were presented, pledges givenand praises sung.
The chapter was honored to havedistinguished guest, Mr. Sam Par-ker. District Deputy Grand Patron,and Mrs. Sam Parker, Worthy Ma-tron of Long Leaf Pitje Chapter inFayetteville.
Minutes were read for approvalby Mrs. Sarah Wilson secretary.
Treasurer's report was given byMrs. Louise Alabaster.
Mrs. Strickland announced thefollowing installing officers for theinstallation service to be held March24: Mrs. Maude Foy of Kinston:Mrs. Helen Rimmer of Sanford:Mrs. Fannie Odum of Mount Olive,and Mrs. T. Paul Strickland, Mr.Hugh Prince and Mrs. Thad Popeof Dunn.

Mrs. Strickland thanked her pro-teins for the evening. The meetingwas closed in regular form. Re-freshments were served at the closeiof the meeting.! Friday night, March 14 a specialmeeting was called to initiate Mrs.Nancy Chestnut. The initiation wasconducted in a beautiful and im-pressive manner. The chapter roomwas beautifully decorated for theoccasion by Mrs. Mamie Snipes andMrs. Ruth Temple.
Gifts were presented from thechapter to the secretary. Mrs. Sa-rah Wilson and organist, Mrs. SallyJernigan by Mrs. Louise AlabasterA gift from the chapter was pre-sented to the Worthy Matron. Mrs.Inez Strickland. Hy Mrs. SarphAndrews. Mrs. Cleon Jackson pre-sented gifts from the Officers’ Clubto Mrs. Strickland, Worthy Matronand Mr. Joe Leslie. Worthy Patron.
