Bio

As a Singer/Songwriter, he has recently released a single “Uljha” under the label of Deepak Gattani’s – “DG Records” & Vishal Dadlani’s – “VLT (Vishal Likes This)”, and is also working on some more which would be out soon. He has also performed with his band at festivals such as NH7Weekender, the Southbank Summer Fest (London) and Stage42 to name a few.

Born, 20th Jan. 1991 (Capricorn/Aquarian), a perfect blend of sensitivity and creativity; He aspires to chase his dreams, but loves the journey even more.

Hriday made his Bollywood debut under the tutelage of The Maestro A.R.Rahman with two songs ‘Maaloom’ & ‘Tu Shining’ in the film ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil.’

Background

It is in Chennai where he developed a keen interest in songwriting, by now Hriday has a bank of almost 30 songs.

His versatility comes from his huge range of training. At the age of 13 he trained under the legendary Gulam Mustafa Khan saab, many a stalwarts have learned under his able guidance, Asha Bhonsle, Sonu Nigam, Hari Haran, Shaan etc.Hriday too was lucky to be blessed. Khan saab told him to take a break as his vocal chords were at the stage of maturing and changing.

He then switched to a new style and is currently with Sanjay Mishra (Banaras Gharana). Thereafter, his journey took him to Chennai where, he studied western classical (Vocals) at the KM College of Music and Technology.

My mission is to bring to India the cult that Music Artists, in the west get, the euphoria of a Film Star, to make that happen, it’s a 360 degree effort, besides creating good content, we need to lose our inhibitions, and make ourselves stand out, bring an aura to the personality, a feeling of longing and bonding with the Fans, MOST IMPORTANTLY, work very hard on the live Gigs.. THE LIVE GIGS IS THE PLATFORM THAT MAKES THEM (HOLLYWOOD) Singers get the larger than life image. I was training with Terrence Lewis and learning Dance, and took a class on western classical performance in KM.

Hriday’s Vision and Mission

Every artists/singers dream is to be on the road, performing, singing, and simultaneously producing new stuff, in our context it’s a bit more complex, as to be part of Bollywood one has to be available in Mumbai/ Chennai for recordings, and at the same time strike a balance to be out there reaching out to the people to perform, connect with them. I am currently working on a couple of songs and some have already been released, like “Uljha” being my latest single, and also working on some more that I have written which would hopefully be out soon.

• Recorded for AR Rahman’s private album named ‘OneVision’ with lyrics penned by the former President APJ Abdul Kalam at the age of 13.

• Performed the track ‘OneVision’ at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Childrens Day with A R Rahman.

• Toured with A.R. Rahmanon the Rahmanishq Tour in 2013 • Worked on the Coke Studio album of A.R. Rahman as an

Additional Vocal Supervisor. • Performed at the Bangladesh Cricket Board T20

celebration concert, with A.R. Rahman.

• Performed at Pogo Amazing Kids Awards at the age of 14 as Lead singer of his Band with Saif Ali Khan who accompanied on Guitar.

• Together with various artists on the band circuit he has done Gigs at Blue frog and Hard Rock cafe, as a singer songwriter .

• Run a YouTube channel where we upload various Covers produced, arranged and crooned by Hriday Gattani.

Uljha is a easy listening, acoustic ballad about the constant fight between the sentimental heart and calculative mind, we face this in our everyday life and come across this situation numerous times. Its fickle nature doesn't make sense sometimes, so the mind often asks why the heart continues on its path knowing the amount of times its failed before.
