Infant and toddler clubfoot care provided by CURE Clubfoot clinics throughout Africa:

CURE Clubfoot (CC) continues to establish country programs throughout Africa, identifying and treating infants and toddlers with clubfoot as well as training medical practitioners in order to make this care available throughout each country served. Senior leadership is committed to bringing CC into alignment with the StratOp Core Strategy of fully inte-grating CURE’s standard of physical and surgical care throughout the network. Planning is underway for scaled, achievable growth within the program that retains the organization’s commitment to quality outcomes along with equal focus on physical and spiritual healing. Based on CURE’s ongoing review and refinement of its operating cost structure, it was determined that CURE must raise an average of $400 per child to provide complete healing so that the child will not be permanently afflicted with this disability.

network: Throughout the majority world, the lack of quality health care, combined with overwhelm-ing poverty, increases the rate of clubfoot, hydrocephalus, cleft lips/palates, and other physical conditions among children in resource- -poor countries. CURE believes that curing a child’s disability eliminates a major obstacle to overcoming the challenges of growing up in resource- -poor countries and contributes to the alleviation of poverty for the family of that child. With the support of the Simply Distribute Charitable Foundation, CURE is seek-ing to deepen its efforts to address both the physical and spiritual needs of children and their families.

ICM’s strategy consists of working together with indigenous partners to build “mother churches” in each country. The mother church strategy involves building new churches approximately 25 miles from one another. Each of these “mother” churches, in turn, commits to planting at least five “daughter” congregations nearby. ICM’s goal is to “blanket” each nation with churches and other projects. The churches are the catalysts that facilitate the ministry’s primary purpose: nurturing believers.

ICM nurtures believers primarily through the teaching of the Mini Bible College (MBC), a clear, systematic Bible curriculum developed by Pastor Dick Woodward. MBC consists of 215 individual lessons in audio, print and other formats. The teachings include an entire survey of the Old and New Testaments, and in-depth studies of the Sermon on the Mount and Marriage and Family.

Thailand School

The school is being built in an area where child prostitution is high, which will give these kids another option for their lives. The school will be able to accommodate 700 students.

Mini Bible Audio Players

ICM sincerely thanks Simply Distribute for your substantial contribution last year to fund an ambitious rollout of MBC in Tanzania. In partnership with Tanzania Assemblies of God (TAG), ICM distributed Mini Bible College audio players and print materials in Swahili to 977 indigenous pastors for the purpose of establishing many small

In Morogoro, Tanzania, TAG is building a Leadership Training Center to educate and equip Tanzanian pastors. The center will host five major programs: 1) a Church Planting School, 2) Short Course Training in ministerial skills, 3) Community Development Training for pastors, 4) a radio station to broadcast lessons, and 5) TAG leadership conferences. The ground floor is already complete and serving more than 40 students in the Church Planting School. ICM has agreed to partner with TAG through the construction of two additional floors. When complete, the center will be a tremendous resource for the education and support of Tanzania’s ministers.

Haggai carefully selects proven, credentialed leaders from Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East and train them to impact their world for Christ. Their training program – unique, powerful, and found nowhere else – gives existing leaders from developing nations the inspiration, the focus, and the sheer can-do to impact whatever world they influence, be it nation, city, neighborhood, company, non-governmental organization, or church.

The acquisition of essential skills and the practical, how-to solutions for communicating the Gospel allow these leaders to proclaim the Gospel boldly in complex, sometimes hostile environments. Together – as alumni, donors, faculty, volunteers and staff – we strive to give everyone on earth the chance to hear the Gospel – by word and action – in terms they can understand.

2015 Cyprus Training SessionThe idea was that Haggai would find national Christian leaders in various fields (media, business, law, education, churches, etc.) who had already proven to have key leadership qualities. They would go through an intensive 25-day training that would not be taught on American soil nor taught by American faculty. Instead, third-world established leaders would have the authority to teach others how to lead and evangelize so that they could do the same.

Most Recently, Simply Distribute contributed to the 2015 session held in Cyprus.

Opportunity believes that microfinance is a sustainable means of poverty alleviation leading to lasting, holistic development. Financial tools and training empower entrepreneurs to build businesses, support their families and transform their communities.

They do this by providing micro-loans, and their financial institutions are currently dispersed to 3.5 million active loan clients. What’s most astounding is that 98 percent of these loans are paid back. It happens because an Opportunity International loan is not just money. It’s an entire system of support, guidance and accountability.

Project Highlight: Transformation for Africa

Trust Groups are the entry point for new clients. Each Trust Group of 10-30 entrepreneurs is a diverse mix of seasoned clients and first-time borrowers and led by an Opportunity loan officer.Trust Groups collectively guarantee each other’s loan, replacing the need for the collateral which our clients most often lack. Time after time, we have seen millions of clients start their transformative journeys here, especially the women who discover their unique voice and talents for the first time ever.Daniel Ruymubabe, Head of Transformation for Africa, began a system in Rwanda to ensure that all Trust Group meetings contain all essential elements.

Economic TransformationEconomic transformation is initiated as through critical pre-loan financial literacy and business training. Upon graduation from the entry-point curriculum, loans are received and groups meet weekly for repayment and additional financial stewardship training.

Personal TransformationFrom training in social justice issues such as gender equality and domestic abuse intervention to modules in childhood disease prevention and the benefit of education, Opportunity builds on the economic achievement of a client’s journey with relevant training that empowers them to transform others through themselves.

Social TransformationThe Trust Group is where clients discover the power of their voice. Members develop their God-given abilities and elect their own leaders, engage in group decision-making and collaborate to create thriving businesses that strengthen a community’s economy and well-being.

Spiritual TransformationTrust Groups members and loan officers decide on how to incorporate prayer and reflection into weekly meetings, many training courses are presented through biblical principles and a number of churches open their doors to host Trust Group meetings, serving congregants and community members alike.

From the simplicity of the Giving Fund to the multiplying power of Asset-Based Giving, National Christian Foundation’s creative solutions help givers experience less paperwork, fewer taxes, more joy, and more impact for the charities they really care about. At NCF, they serve professional advisors, ministries and churches in exciting ways. The result? Since 1982, more than $6 billion in grants has been sent to over 40,000 charities.

Through NCF, Simply Distribute has donated to two charitable organizations.

Crown Financial Ministries and Foundations for Farming have combined forces with their proven methodologies to serve those dependent upon the land by empowering the people to be the best farmers in the world, to learn to operate as a God designed family and to faithfully steward their local resources.

We train farmers to steward both their land and the harvest from the land. We do this by teaching agricultural skills which bring about a substantial increase in crop yields and by financial training to manage the increase in resources. We also include a training component by Family Impact to strengthen the family unit. All three components are vital to bringing an end to hunger, dependency and poverty.

Since 2011, the Bridge2Rwanda Scholars Program has helped over 100 African students earn more than $22 million in scholarships. Their mission, however, goes beyond earning international scholarships. We are committed to building a fellowship of globally educated professionals working in Africa, prepared for extraordinary lives as entrepreneurs and servant leaders.

The 4th class of 32 B2R Scholars earned over $9 million in scholarship funding to top universities around the world. About 25% of this year’s Scholars were awarded admission to Ivy League universities. This brings us to a total of approximately 100 students who have earned over $22 million in scholarship funding since the program began in 2011.

The 5th class of B2R Scholars was selected and launched with 42 students- the largest class yet.The new B2R Scholars class includes students from historically conflict-torn countries in Africa, including: Rwanda, South Sudan, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Liberia.

The Career Development Program has taken on greater importance as the number of students studying abroad has increased. Our goal is to keep the Scholars connected to their countries and help them find internships, jobs and careers in Africa. The summer internship program placed over 60 scholars in meaningful internships in Africa this summer.
