    Layered Flowers

Make 2 - using 2 dierent size hooks - the owers on the hat pictured

used a 4mm and 5mm hook. For larger owers, or more layers, use a

dierent size hook for each layer (i.e. use a 4mm, 5mm and 6mm for a

    three layer ower)

    R1: AL, ch1, (1 sc, ch1) 6x into the AL (creates 6 ch1 spaces)

    R2: (ch2, 1dc) into each ch1sp around (6x), ch2, ss to 1st chain of the

    round (creates 7 ch2 spaces)

R3: (ch3, tr2tog, ch4, ss) in each ch2 space around (7x), ss to join and

    F/O (creates 7 petals)

Layer the owers, one on top of the other and stch (with a con-

trasng colour of yarn) through the centre. You can also securely

aach a buon or bead to the centre, before aaching the ower to

    the hat.

For the colour change used in the photo, change colour at the end

of R1 and then again at the end of R3. To aach the colour for R4,

aach the colour in the ch1sp to the right of the nal ss of R3.
