A new spirit blows throughthe residential buildings. What are the most importantdemands on simple yet highquality passenger elevators forresidential buildings? The ele-vators should be attractive inprice and at the same time con-vince through the quality theyhave to offer. They should haveshort lead times, rationally andpromptly applicable in both thenew installation and moderniza-tion markets. The developmentof Spirit®, the revolutionary ele-vator system was orientatedtoward the above mentioneddemands, in order to top themarket expectations and to set a new benchmark.

Spirit® has positioned itself, asan independent solution in theproduct family of the machineroom-less traction-driven eleva-tors. Spirit® is an economicalalternative with short lead timesin the range of lower to mediumheight residential and office buil-dings with a moderate amountof traffic. This is warranted bymeans of a specific equipmentpackage as well as rational con-tractual and manufacturing pro-cedures. But the trick lies in thesystem itself.

Reduced shaft top.The uniquely small shaft topwith a height of only 2600 mmsaves 30% compared to conven-tional head rooms. Together withthe shaft recess of only 400 mm70% of pit room is gained com-pared to conventional shaftpits. This makes Spirit® a highlyflexible installation.

A conventional head room thatis comparably higher, forcesthe building line upwards, asspecial building measures haveto be taken. Spirit® solves thisproblem and is in other words:highly superior.

The vibration isolated and low-maintenance drive unit is posi-tioned in the shaft in the area ofthe lowest stop. It follows thatthis is the world's flattest andmost compact drive of its type!Despite its positioning as afunctional elevator, Spirit®

offers pleasant ride comfort,accurate leveling, exemplaryreliability and a long life span.

Spirit® is the new machine room-less elevator system, revolutioni-sing the passenger elevator marketwith a variety of advantages.

An outstanding cost-performance ratiois achieved by having highly attractivepurchasing costs, quality material andstate of the art technology.

Instead of a head room Spirit® has a2600 mm high shaft top termina-tion.

The shaft pit respectively shaftrecess has a depth of only 400 mm.

Ingeniously simple and perfectly syn-chronised system technology.

Probably the most compact elevatorsystem in the world, giving architectsand schedulers a lot of freedom whenplanning the buildings, as well asgiving maximum flexibility for moder-nization purposes.

Existing buildings can not only beretro-fitted, but due to omission ofthe head room on the roof, the statusof listed buildings is assured.

The technology. No contradictionwith the functional arrangement ofthe installation, simply future-proof.

The vibration isolated drive unit is carried out asa permanent magnet actuated synchronous ma-chine and is positioned in the area of the loweststop including the frequency converter and thecomponents of the decentralised control system.

Suspension 2:1

Spirit® contains an installation friendly, self-carrying car in a light design with set measure-ments. The excellent use of the shaft cross-sec-tion enables the use of larger cabins, and hencefor modernization, improved traffic and comfort.

Components of the decentralised controlThyssencontrol Multican TCM-MC3 are installedwith the space-saving drive in the shaft. The highquality control panel is positioned according tostandard conditions in the lowest landing, butcan be installed in any landing as desired.

The fitting as well as retro-fitting of the equipmentfor a handicapped accessible elevator acc. toEN 81-70 is possible.

Shaft and car door ECO with frequency regula-ted door drive for high running smoothness.

The installation of the equipment is fast and rational.

The operation is identified by excellent ridecomfort, continuous energy-saving and eco-nomical performance.

Spirit® compiles with the rules and regulationsof the elevator guidelines 95/16/EG. The Euro-pean type test certificate checked by experts ofthe german acceptance authority ‘TÜV’ confirmsthe safety concept of Spirit®.

Spirit® is manufactured with thehighest standards and equippedwith the most modern technology.This guarantees long-term availabil-ity, life-span and good ride com-fort.
