Simple present and present progressive

Simple present: to tell about habits, customs, regular occurrences, routines, or facts.
Present progressive: to tell or ask about an action that is happening right now or these days.
Some examples…..
I go to the park.Does he like fruits?I’m listening pop music right now.Is he watching a movie?How often do you go to the gym?They always walk.

Adverbs and expressions of frequency
• Adverbs and expressions of frequency tell how often we do something.
• They are often used with the simple present.
• They rarely occur with the present progressive.

Stative Verbs
• State of being: be• Emotions: love, hate, like, dislike.• Sense of appearance: hear, see, feel, taste.• Need, preference: want, need, prefer.• Mental state: agree, disagree, guess, know.• Possesion: have, own, belong.• Measurement: cost, weigh.
