2012 – Present Senior Systems Specialist – Engineering Data Management, WorleyParsons, Houston

Relocated to the Houston office to join the Global Engineering Systems, Engineering Data Management Team.

Responsibilities include the development, configuration, set-up and support of the WorleyParsons Standard Electronic Document & Data Management System (EDDMS), utilizing SmartPlant Foundation 2009/2014 (SPF & SPO/E) including its interfaces with other WorleyParsons project delivery systems for Project Controls and Procurement. Preparation and development of the project plans (Microsoft Project) for the Data Centric Project Execution Strategy. The implementation and configuration of the data warehouse core software. The environment consists of integrating the SmartPlant suite of tools (SmartPlant Enterprise) using SmartPlant Foundation 2014 (SPF) and SmartPlant for Owner Operators 3.2 (SPO/E) as well as AVEVA NET 5.0 as the two core systems for the environment.

Development and implementation of migration plan and templates for transferring the data and configuration from SmartPlant Foundation 2007 projects (local and remote assignments) to the SmartPlant Foundation 2009/2014 platform.

Development of an interface to allow the SPF Document Management build to be integrated with Bluebeam software for the purpose of Red Line Markup.

Developed interfaces to connect both AVEVA NET and SPF to the in house Master Tag Register (MTR) tool for the importing of tags. The interface connects to the exposed OData Layer to retrieve tag data.

Development of reports and reporting dashboards that sit above SPF and AVEVA NET using Microsoft Reporting Services and Power BI connected to the Microsoft SQL Databases (2010/2012) and Oracle Databases (10g/11g).

2007 – 2012 Systems Analyst – Project Delivery Systems, WorleyParsons, London

Relocated to the London office to focus on migrating the WorleyParsons Standard SPF build from Version 2007 to version 2008 as the software had undergone a complete rewrite using .NET technology. Continued to coordinate the global team for the ongoing support and configuration of SPF.

Also involved in implementing and supporting SPF in the UK region for various onshore and offshore projects.

Activities include extending the capability and functionality of SPF both programmatically, using .NET C#/VB, and via configuration of the tool.

Pioneered the development of an Interface Management layer to sit on top of SPF and leverage its technology. The purpose is to simplify and manage the flow of information when executing large projects involving many different contractors and suppliers.

2004 – 2007 Systems Analyst – Business System Group, WorleyParsons, Melbourne

Implementation and support of SmartPlant Material (Global Materials Management System). Report generation using Oracle Reports Builder for forms and .NET C# for the development of an intranet web based reporting system.

Responsible for implementation and rollout of SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) for Document Control and integration of The Engineering Framework (TEF) tools globally. Implementations were local to remote locations and involved extensive travel to various locations Australia, Middle East, Africa and the USA. Implementations consisted of liaising with local personnel, establishing product configuration requirements, formulating and submitting costs, managing budgets and defining the overall global strategy for product rollout and support.
