Line Dancing is tremendously beneficial in keeping us young. The benefits of line dancing and all types ofdancing are many: weight loss, control of high blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol, stress management, reduce risk of heart disease, strengthen bones and muscles, improve posture and balance, which in turn pre-vents falls, and increase your stamina and flexibility while building confidence. Barbara Craddock, profes-sional dancer and instructor, explains the benefits of dance in her article titled Benefits of Dancing & QuickTips for Staying Healthy. According to Ms. Craddock, along with the physical benefits, dance improves ourmemory by making us recall steps, routines and dance patterns making it a great mental exercise for brains.www.dancescape.org Line Dancing is a social activity that leads to meeting new people and making new friends,

and you dont need a dance

partner to join in the fun! Joinour own line dance instructorextraordinaire, Ms. BarbaraBrown on Wednesdays andFridays to see why her studentsare so happy. See page 4 forclass information.
