BENT AND CURVED APPLICATIONS

Metropole can easily be bent to fit perfectly to bay windows or other curved applications.

Metropole is actually a curtain track that does not use rings, the curtains hang directly on nylon gliders contained in a channel inside the pole.

Unlike traditional curtain poles, the brackets attach to the top of the pole allowing the curtain to move smoothly throughout the complete length of the pole – no need for passing brackets, making it perfect for wide windows and large expanses of glass.

A decorative curtain pole... That functions like a track!

HAND, CORD OR ELECTRIC OPERATION

Metropole can be hand, cord or electrically operated. Whichever is chosen you are assured of the same smooth and unhindered curtain movement.

All our poles, regardless of size, shape or operation, keep the same sleek design. The cording endset blends into the pole profile giving a seamless finish.

Whether a discreet pole for a small window or something more visible, Metropole is offered in 3 sizes of round pole - 23mm, 30mm and 50mm.

METROFLAT

For a more contemporary look, choose our 36mm Metroflat pole. With or without finials, available in 10 popular colours, it’s a perfect alternative to round poles for modern interiors.

ALL CURTAIN HEADINGS

Metropole is suitable for all curtain headings that hang underneath the pole, from traditional pleats (inset) to contemporary Wave (above).

SIMPLICITY

Metropole is supplied as standard with Flush Endcaps, (Stud Endcaps can be selected at no additional cost), unless decorative finials are chosen.

Endcaps are ideal when a minimalist look is preferred, where space is limited or when the pole is being fitted flush to a ceiling or window reveal (using a top fix plate - see the bracket table at the back of this brochure).

Flush Endcaps are discreet and slim, perfect for fitting inside a window recess or when butting up to a wall.

Stud Endcaps give a more defined end to the pole but still work well in restricted spaces.

The larger 50mm diameter Design Endcap is offered with our most popular 30mm pole. The most subtle finial design.

WAVE CURTAIN HEADING

Wave can be selected with 30mm, 50mm, and Metroflat poles.

SILENT GLISS FABRIC COLLECTION

Whilst many fabrics are suitable for Wave, only when using Silent Gliss approved Wave fabrics can you be assured of the perfect and even wave effect. By selecting one of our wider fabrics and limiting the number of joins, the highest quality curtain is achieved.

Silent Gliss has created a unique curtain heading system that turns traditional curtains into a striking, modern design statement.

As an alternative to traditional pinch, pencil pleat or goblet style headings, Wave offers a more contemporary look throughout the curtain drop: when opened, the curtains stack back neatly, and when closed the fabric hangs in a smooth, continuous wave. NEAT CURTAIN STACK-BACK

Undulating curves when your curtains are closed transform into a neat stack-back when opened.

Silent Gliss fabrics Colorama 1 and 2 are proven to give an exceptional Wave effect throughout the full drop of the curtain. Both transparencies are available in over 40 colours. See the Fabrics section of this binder.

BENT POLES

With the exception of the electrically operated Metropole, all the other sizes and shapes can be forward and reverse bent to accommodate bay windows or curved installations. The following minimum bending radii apply:

23mm hand operated system SG 1003 - 15cm 36mm hand operated system SG 6100 - 20cm 30mm cord operated system SG 6120/6130 - 30cm 50mm hand operated system SG 6140 - 50cm 50mm cord operated system SG 6160 - 68cm

INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN OPERATION

Corded Metropole is offered as standard with a single cord that operates both curtains simultaneously. Should you wish to operate your curtains independently, we offer an intermediate pulley allowing a cord at each end of the pole.

An intermediate pulley can also achieve longer poles (over 6m), and can carry heavier curtains.

Metropole is supplied as standard with Smart Fix brackets. Alternatively you can choose from our range of different bracket designs, all are colour matched to the pole.

Silent Gliss Smart Fix brackets offer the ultimate flexibility and ease of installation.

This modern, versatile bracket is offered in three designs – Standard, Square and Adjustable, and includes magnetic metal covers which are easy to fit and elegantly hide the screws.

All Smart Fix bracket designs are suitable for use on all Metropole pole sizes and shapes.
